    World Trigger Wiki

    The documentation below tells you everything you need to know about how to make citations/references on the World Trigger Wiki.

      Template Documentation (for the above template, sometimes hidden or invisible) (view - edit - history)

    {{ref}} template

    With this handy template, you can create references quickly.

    Note: The name=value that appears in {{ref|name=}} is just a suggestion, and it's technically optional. It's good because you can reuse the same reference this way. After the first time you put one of these references in, the next time, all you have to put is {{ref|name=}} with only the nameyou gave it last time after the = sign. You cannot redefine it, though. You get an error if you try to create two new references with the same name.

    With all the possible inputs, the Ref template would look like this:

    {{Ref
    |p=page#
    |c=chapter#
    |v=volume#
    |e=episode#
    |qc=volume qna
    |qz=bbf qna
    |db=bbf
    |q=quote
    |link=URL
    |linkname=name of link
    |text=any text
    |name=c#p#}}

    Volume

    For using a volume reference. Page number is great if you have it. In general, chapter references are usually preferred over volume references.

    {{ref|v=volume#|p=page#|name=vvolume#ppage#}

    For example:

    {{ref|v=11|name=v11}} produces

    See Volume Index

    If you want to know which chapters are in which volume, see below. If you need more details, see the Manga Chapters page, which has all of the volumes listed and has names and links to the chapters in them.

    Chapter

    For using a chapter reference:

    {{ref|c=chapter#|p=page#|name=cchapter#ppage#}}

    For example:

    {{ref|c=1|p=9|name=c1p9}} produces

    Episode

    On the World Trigger Wiki, we total the episodes from the three seasons when we refer to them by number (ex. Episodes 1-99). For using an episode reference:

    {{ref|e=episode#|name=eepisode#}}

    For example:

    {{ref|e=1|name=e1}} would produce:

    To see all the episodes summarized on one page, check out Anime/Episodes. The index is below.

    Extra

    Extras include chibi profiles, Strategy Room layouts, Location profiles, mini profiles, etc. that are included sporadically in each volume and other miscellaneous places.

    For referencing a volume extra:

    {{ref|v=volume#|text=Volume Extras|name=vvolume#extras}}

    For example:

    {{ref|v=7|text=Volume Extras|name=v7extras}} produces

    1. World Trigger Manga Vol. 7 Volume Extras

    OR

    If you want to reference a specific extra, you can use this format

    {{ref|ex=extra|name=exextra}}

    Using the same example,

    {{re|ex=V7SP|name=exV7SP}}produces

    1. World Trigger MangaVol. 7 Squad Profile

    An incomplete index is below.

    See Extras Index

    Databook

    For using information from a databook. The only real databook we really reference right now is the Border Briefing File, abbreviated as BBF. For using specifically a QnA from the databook, see the QnA section after this one.

    {{ref|db=databook abbreviation|p=page#s|name=databook abbreviationppage#s}}

    For example:

    {{ref|db=bbf|p=1|name=bbfp1}} produces:

    • Databook fact in an article.[1]

    QnAs

    There is a treasure trove of information we've been given in Questions and Answer (QnA) format, from the Border Briefing File databook, or in the "Question Corner" (from the official Twitter or released elsewhere).

    Note: It is important to use the QnA index when citing the QnAs (the qz= or qc= values). This is because the question and answer itself appears in the references box at the end of the page, and people love reading them when they get there!

    Databook QnAs

    For using a databook QnA reference:

    {{ref|qz=question#|name=databook abbreviationqquestion#}}

    For example:

    {{Ref|qz=21|name=bbfq21}} produces:

    • Databook QnA lore in an article.[1]
    1. Daisuke Ashihara: Q: How many minutes at most can Karasuma maintain Geist?
      A: With Trion at full capacity he can maintain 284 seconds, so slightly less than 5 minutes.

    Check out the Databook QnA index. It is a long list, so it's recommend you use Ctrl+F / Cmd+F to find the one you're looking for.

    You can modify the Databook QnA list Here

    Question Corner QnA

    For using a Question Corner QnA reference:

    {{ref|qc=shorthand|name=Question Corner Shorthand}}

    For example:

    {{Ref|qc=Konami Rank Wars|name=Konami Rank Wars}} produces:

    • Question Corner QnA lore in an article.[1]
    1. Daisuke Ashihara: Q: Konami is the No. 3 Attacker, does this mean she shows up in the Solo Rank Wars? And in that case what Triggers does she use?
      A: Studying came first for Konami up until the end of her middle school years so she didn’t do any Solo Rank Wars then, and only participated in the period from her middle school graduation and part way through her first year of high school. Back then, in that period, Jin started using Fūjin and Tachikawa had kind of lost his motivation, so Konami sharpened her blades against those like Kazama to reach all the way to No. 1 Attacker. After that, along with Tamakoma’s separation, she took a step back from Rank Wars, but her solo points have only been surpassed by Tachikawa and Kazama so she’s still No. 3 Attacker. Her Triggers at the time were dual-wielded Kogetsu (fairly short).

    Check out the Question Corner QnA index. It is a long list, so it's recommend you use Ctrl+F / Cmd+F to find the one you're looking for.

    Quote

    For using a quote reference, include the quote itself in the citation:

    {{ref|q=quote|s=source|name=qquote}}

    For example:

    {{ref|q=Volume 2 is hitting stores (in Japan) on 9/4. It should be easier to find than volume 1 was. Hope you like it!|s=Weekly Shonen Jump|name=q7213}}

    produces

    1. Daisuke Ashihara: Volume 2 is hitting stores (in Japan) on 9/4. It should be easier to find than volume 1 was. Hope you like it!
      Source: Weekly Shonen Jump

    Other

    For using a link:

    {{ref|link=URL|linkname=link title|text=any text you want to add|name=[linktitle]}}

    For example:

    {{ref|link=http://random.com|linkname=Random|text=Random text for a random link|name=other}} produces:

    • Fact in an article from random source.[1]
    1. random Random title for random link

    You can use text= to add extra text to any citation you make with the {{ref}} tag.

    This template is for making citations/references.
