The Manga of World Trigger is written and illustrated by Daisuke Ashihara and was published in the Japanese-language magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from issue #11 of 2013 to issue #50 of 2016, before being transferred to Jump Square in December 2018 after returning from a nearly two-year hiatus. Chapters are numbered in the format Chapter X (第X話, Dai X wa ?), occasionally with a hexagon surrounding the number: the shape a cube appears when viewed from a vertex.
Due to health issues on the part of the author, the manga was put on hiatus in November 2016 after the release of the 49th Weekly Shōnen Jump issue.[1] The series returned in issue #48 of Weekly Shōnen Jump on October 29, 2018, running until issue #52 on November 29, before eventually transferring to Jump SQ on December 4.[2]
The English translation is handled by Viz Media.

- Volume 11: "I debated for a long time which character I was going to put on the cover – Suwa, Arafune, Murakami, or Nasu. I decided on Suwa, who had been working hard since the invasion. It's not because it would make my author portrait super easy.

- Volume 21: "I went to a bento shop for eight years straight on days I was working on a manuscript, and now it's closed. A food crisis looms. The katsu-and-rice combo at a wholesale cost has been lost. With this dark development, the era descends into chaos...
