    World Trigger Wiki

This page is about the character. For other uses, see Ai Kitora (disambiguation).

I'm not so stupid as to try fighting using a C-rank Trigger.

Ai Kitora talking to Jun Arashiyama, in Chapter 6.[1]

Ai Kitora (()(とら) (あい), Kitora Ai ?) is an A-rank close-range All-Rounder and a Arashiyama Squad. She is also one of the twelve candidates for the Black Trigger Fūjin.

    Appearance[edit source]

Kitora has short black hair and violet eyes. She wears a jacket over her school uniform.

When she is in trigger mode, like the rest of her Squad, she wears a red, high collared athletic jacket, with a long black stripe with a white stripe going down the side of each sleeve, and also around her collar. and the Border Emblem on the side of each shoulder. Her Squad's emblem is in the left side of her chest and wears black leggings.

    Personality[edit source]

Kitora is an arrogant girl. As she got accepted as an A-rank elite member when she was still at middle school, she thinks she is one of the best. She is easily jealous; seen when she envied Osamu for having Karasuma as her mentor.[9] She hardly, if ever, acknowledges him, and makes it a point to find fault with him.[10] She does; however, have a kind and humble side to her, and is always ready to help those in need. She loves attention from her superiors and respect from those younger, and is easily hurt if someone younger is cold towards her.[11]She also expects people to follow rules and social protocols as she refused to train Osamu until he properly and humbly asked for her help. Despite her insecurities, at times she refuses to take credit for someone else's actions. She also has a sense of gratitude and is willing to repay her debt by helping those whom she believes have somehow aided her in the past.

    Quotes[edit source]

    • (To Jun Arashiyama) "I'm not so stupid as to try fighting using a C-rank Trigger." [1]
    • (Regarding her incompetence defeating an Ilgar) "I'm not going to exploit a feat I didn't perform." [12]
    • (Referring to Osamu Mikumo) "If we abide by the rules of Borders, he’ll have to be made an example to the C-rank group members. He must be punished for what he’s done." [13]
    • (To Karasuma and Kuga) "You can't learn how to win if you don't fight to win." [14]
    • (Battling the Rabbit) "I said I'd take care of it so I'll definitely take it out, without failure!" [15]
    • (To Osamu) "Most people fail to understand that the purpose of a trap isn't only to take out a target. Just making them think there's a trap makes an enemy hesitate. When they're wary of traps, their attention is diverted." [16]

    8. Daisuke Ashihara: Q: Is there a reason why there are different shapes for Scorpion?
A: Jin and Yūma's single edge Scorpion is the standard type that stresses balance. Kazama Squad's hollowed out Scorpion is a type specializing in attack and stresses the reach when expanding and contracting. Kitora's double-edged Scorpion is a modded type that has been equipped with the function to rotate it like a pinwheel around the grip.
