–Mitsuru Tokieda about Kakizaki and Kakizaki Squad, in Kuniharu Kakizaki.[1] |
Kakizaki Squad (柿崎 隊, Kakizaki-tai ?) is the B-Rank squad #13 led by Kuniharu Kakizaki. At the start of the current season, they were ranked 13th.
Description[edit | edit source]
Kakizaki Squad has a reputation for being overly cautious.[5] Unlike several other teams, they do not have a specific ace. Instead, each member has an equal responsibility in the gathering of points.[6]

Plot[edit | edit source]
History[edit | edit source]
After leaving Arashiyama Squad, Kakizaki was greeted by Madoka Ui, who was informed by Haruka Ayatsuji that Kakizaki must be seeking to form his own squad following the departure. Two prodigious rookies, Kotarō Tomoe and Fumika Teruya, sought Kakizaki after being impressed by his responses given in a Border press conference on TV a few years prior.[7]
Large-Scale Invasion Arc[edit | edit source]
Kakizaki Squad is part of the B-Rank team union that faces Ranbanein. They support the other B-Rank squads, as well as Izumi, Yoneya, and Midorikawa. They were the only B-Rank squad to face against Ranbanein and not have any Bail Outs.[5]
B-Rank Wars Arc[edit | edit source]
Before Round 5, they had lowered to the lower tier, having lost to Suzunari First and Arafune Squad. However, they were able to bounce back after one match and returned to the middle tier.[8] In round 5, they are up against Katori Squad and Tamakoma Second. As the lowest-ranking squad, they have the right to choose the map.[9] They are easily overpowered by Yūma, and their sole point is scored by Teruya who went after Chika.
Away Mission Test Arc[edit | edit source]
All four members of the squad participate in Phase 1. Kakizaki is assigned to lead Squad 3, Teruya is chosen by Mizukami for his Squad 9, Tomoe is assigned to Utagawa's Squad 1 by default, and Ui is assigned to Suwa's Squad 7 as its operator.
