Kuniharu Kakizaki (柿崎 国治 Kakizaki Kuniharu ?) is Chapter 142 of the World Trigger Manga.
Short Summary[edit | edit source]
As Kakizaki fights Yūma, he recalls the time when he was still in Arashiyama Squad and how his squad was formed. Meanwhile, Teruya draws closer towards Chika's position.
Long Summary[edit | edit source]
Katori orders Wakamura to attack Osamu, only to have her orders refused. On Yūma's side, Teruya decides to go for Chika while Kakizaki would keep Yūma occupied. Kakizaki reminisces on a press conference he attended with his then-teammate, Arashiyama. When the media asked whether the two prioritized their family's safety or other citizens' safety, Kakizaki decided to give the safe answer; that the citizens come first. However, Arashiyama responded that he valued his family first, but once he could guarantee his family's well-being, he would relentlessly protect the citizens, which the reporters seem to admire more. As the Arashiyama Squad progressed, Kakizaki's belief of self-inferiority grew, and he decided to leave the unit when it was to be the PR unit. From there, he recruited two talented agents: Fumika Teruya and Kotarō Tomoe to be a part of his new team, with Madoka Ui. Back in the present, Yūma overwhelms Kakizaki with the speed of his attacks. However, Kakizaki is unwilling to go down for the sake of his teammates' talent. Yūma manages to stab Kakizaki in the chest, but Kakizaki uses the opportunity to shoot Yūma at point-blank range.
