The Away Mission Test: Part 25 (遠征選抜試験 ㉕ Ensei Senpatsu Shiken 25 , lit. Expedition Selection Exam 25?) is Chapter 228 of the World Trigger Manga.
Short Summary[edit source]
Satoshi Mizukami's plan to play the Battle Sims alone will no longer work, so he comes clean with his squad to get their help. Most of them accept the situation immediately, but as expected, Fumika Teruya demands an explanation. Later, Osamu has an idea about the universal assignments, where the chapter ends.
Long Summary[edit source]
Mizukami comes clean to his squad and explains the Battle Simulations. Tetsuji Arafune and Yutaka Kashio accept this immediately and get to work, but Teruya objects. She asks the others why they're okay with Mizukami's actions. Arafune and Yuka Kon aren't surprised because Mizukami was being suspicious, and Kashio wasn't bothered because his Captain Ōji pulls stunts like this from time to time. Teruya has an outburst and demands answers. Risa Maki, who is spectating, deducts points because an outburst wastes time.
The A-Ranks watch as Mizukami explains his strategy, which is followed by an explanation for why he kept things a secret: he didn't want to waste time discussing it. The A-Ranks rightfully doubt that will be enough to appease Teruya. Mizukami, upon being asked by Kon, explains his purpose for aiming for a high score: to give back (as captain) to his away team squad mates. Unable to fight Mizukami's previous points, Teruya still asserts that the task they now have–learning the Battle Sims two days behind–is unreasonable. Mizukami says that he chose the three of them (Arafune, Teruya, and Kashio) specifically because he believed that they could handle it. In the end, Teruya reluctantly agrees to proceed, but has one request–that Mizukami says 'please'. After Teruya explains that being asked to 'please' do something sets a fire in her soul, a whole list of spectating A-Ranks award her points. Mizukami says please and they get to work learning the Battle Sims.
The chapter ends with Osamu having a new idea, one that he isn't sure would break the rules.
