The Away Mission Test: Part 22 (遠征選抜試験 ㉒ Ensei Senpatsu Shiken 22 ?) is Chapter 224 of the World Trigger Manga.
Short Summary[edit | edit source]
With the addition of an extra unit per player, another day of the Battle Sims has come and gone. Katori, however, is quickly losing motivation.
Long Summary[edit | edit source]
Teams react to their added units. Mizukami is unfazed, but feels uneasy about the coming days. Should another special assignment appear, Kikuchihara will do it for his squad while Kurauchi's units will be split among Squad 10 to control.
Kodera's Squad 6 deduces that melee weapons are most trion-efficient. Kodera notes the difficulty in matching Squad 9's pace, but affirms to gaining an edge once the unit-count racks up. Rokuta frets about her ability to operate well with more units. Urushima suddenly gets up to send a text.
Maori proposes putting Hyuse in-command, given his track record and the existence of other de-facto captains. He points out his team's trion advantage, but admits that Katori is too sporadic for a guaranteed victory against Suwa Squad. Much to Wakamura's reluctance, Hyuse becomes in-charge of leading the match-up's against predictable, logic-oriented teams.
Osamu considers Suwa's reasoning behind delaying talk about Mizukami as teams prep for the Battle Sims. Squad 7 scores a narrow victory against Kitazoe's team by reading their moves, but experiences three losses and one draw thereafter. With the increased units contributing to a growing disparity in strength, relying on raw specs won't do.
Suwa tackles the special assignment after Match 6's defeat, which is followed by a second win, two more defeats, and two more draws for an optimistic Squad 7. Suwa is about to begin a debrief before a disgruntled Katori, frustrated at Somei and Wakamura's team rankings, collapses onto the table.
