The Away Mission Test: Part 23 (遠征選抜試験 ㉓ Ensei Senpatsu Shiken 23 , lit. Expedition Selection Exam 23?) is Chapter 226 of the World Trigger Manga.
Short Summary[edit source]
Katori agrees to getting Osamu on an away mission. Squads experience a general uptick in scores as they find their footing, but breaking into the top ranks remains a challenge. Squad 7 phones Kodera's squad in an effort to change that.
Long Summary[edit source]
It is decided that Osamu must make the away mission if Karasuma is to be swayed into a date with Katori. Osamu promises this to a threatening Katori.
In Kuruma’s Squad 5, everyone is congratulated for their efforts in raising the team’s rank. However, Ninomiya’s squad is still an obstacle to surpass.
In Kakizaki’s Squad 3, Taichi is praised for his special assignment response, but becomes dejected at Inukai’s offhand comment.
In Murakami’s Squad 10, Hiyami’s recommendations have paid off. But even with fewer losses and a tie with Ninomiya’s squad, the top spots remain in contention.
Aside from Ema’s poor special assignment performance, scores for Ninomiya’s squad 8 have considerably boosted. Ninomiya encourages Chika to keep up the good work.
In Utagawa’s Squad 1, Yuma prods Urushima to reveal the latter’s secretive text message. Yuma has an idea for how to handle the top squads.
Back in Squad 7, Oki observes how improved teamwork across the board increased the need for seamless strategies. Madoka suggests keeping tabs on other teams’ skill charts, while Katori thinks Osamu should be better defended. Osamu advises asking around for more data. Suwa phones an initially skeptical Kodera. Suwa reminds him of their common enemy in the higher ranked squads and teases an agreement out of him. Suwa hands the line over to Osamu.
