Shinnosuke Tsuji (辻 新之助, Tsuji Shinnosuke ?) is a B-rank (formerly A-rank) Attacker and a member of Ninomiya Squad.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Tsuji is a tall, light-skinned young man of lean build with dark, narrowed eyes, a straight nose and smooth, short-to-medium jet-black hair. His battle uniform is a black three-piece suit, of which he leaves the jacket unbuttoned. He has a brown holster around his waist to hold the scabbard his Kogetsu. Outside of Border, he has been seen wearing a light-colored jacket with a high collar [12] over a cardigan and a black undershirt,[13] as well as light-colored shirts and trousers.[14]
Personality[edit | edit source]
Tsuji is quiet and collected. However, his composure easily gives way to embarrassment whenever a girl speaks to him,[13] to the point that he is not only unable to have a conversation with her, or even look her in the eye.[15] The only exceptions are Hiyami and Hatohara.[16] This extreme timidity causes him to be very guarded at school.[17] In combat, he is very task-oriented and does not speak out of turn. He owns up to his mistakes without hesitation[18] and he did not refrain from praising Hyuse's superior swordsmanship after the recruit bested him in combat.[19]

- Tsuji likes dinosaurs, cream puffs, and butter dorayaki.[3][4]
- It was stated that his favorite dinosaur is the Allosaurus, but also likes marine reptiles like the Elasmosaurus and Sarcosuchus[21]
- The author quipped that if Tsuji were to fight against Kako Squad or Nasu Squad, he would get crushed due to his timidity around girls.[15]
