Mai Kitagawa (喜多川 真衣, Kitagawa Mai ?) is an A-rank Trapper and a member of Kako Squad.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Kitagawa is of the Feline persuasion, having cat like paws on her hands[4][5][6] and feet[4]. This is accompanied by hair resembling that of a cat's ears[4] and a tail attached to the lower half of her trion body.[7] Her uniform is similar to Kako and Kuroe's in design, but is instead a full body suit. Her hair is brown and her eyes are black with white pupils.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Kitagawa has been shown to mostly be relaxed[5][8] and informal[5][8], pointing out how Kitazoe is round in the middle of a discussion[9] and saying she needs a snack or else she can't go on[4]. In addition, when Uno gave her a snack she only gave a simple thanks.[7] However she's shown she can be serious and observant by pointing out Kikuchihara's side effect, albeit casually[10], along with commenting on how Kodera has his teammate's interests at heart with his worry over their unnaturally low scores.[11] She also seems to prefer talking through text rather than vocally.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- "Kitagawa" (喜多川, also written as 北川 ?) is a common Japanese surname. It is made up of the kanji for Rejoice (喜, Ki ?), Many (多, ta ?), and River (川, kawa ?); while Mai is made up of the kanji for True (真, Ma ?) Garment (衣, i ?).
- She likes tofu hot pot, kotatsu and drawing.[1][2]
- She is said to have an IQ of 129.[12]
- Although her full stats were not revealed in Border Briefing File,[2] she ranks second in Special Tactics. With Shinji Fuyushima (10[13]) ranking above her and Sōya Kazama (8[14]) below[3], However due to how people will the same stat will share a ranking, Kitagawa would have a 9 in this stat.
- Kitagawa's unusual appearance, along with the general lack of information about her, has led to her becoming a meme, including being compared to the Yukkuri shiteitte ne! meme.
