    World Trigger Wiki

    Background[edit source]

Kashio was raised to speak to his parents with the utmost politeness. A natural prodigy, he never experienced failure before joining Border and suffering a crushing defeat at Ai Kitora's hands.[1] At some point, he joined Ōji Squad.

    Introduction Arc[edit source]

Ōji Squad presumably takes part in the extermination of all Rads in Mikado City.[2]

    Large-Scale Invasion Arc[edit source]

Ōji Squad is seemingly not deployed during the Second Large-Scale Invasion, and could, therefore, be among the B-rank Squads with missing members which Masafumi Shinoda prevents from fighting against Aftokrator's forces out of fear of capture.[3]

    B-Rank Wars Arc[edit source]

    Round One[edit source]

Ōji Squad starts the season off at 5th[4] place meaning they fought in the upper group but what what squads they fought, the division or what their rank was afterwards wasn't shown or said.

    Round Two[edit source]

During the four-way rank war of the day division on February 5[5], Ōji Squad faces off against Azuma Squad, Katori Squad and Yuba Squad. The three Squads manage to force Haruaki Azuma to Bail Out by focusing their fire on him[6] and was able to do good enough to still be in 5th place after Tamakoma second's match.[7]

    Round Three[edit source]

On Saturday[8] February 8, Ōji Squad fights in the day division of rank wars against Katori Squad and at least one other team, ranking fourth at the end of the match.[9]

    Round Four[edit source]

Since Tamakoma Second fights Ninomiya Squad, Kageura Squad and Azuma Squad in the night division of rank wars on February 15[10], and since Katori Squad and all other possible opponents were in the middle tier of B-rank or lower,[9] Ōji Squad must have fought in the day division against Ikoma Squad and Yuba Squad. After the scores from both divisions are tallied, Ōji Squad remains in fifth place[11] with 22 points.[11]

    Galopoula's Invasion[edit source]

Since Azuma Squad, Kageura Squad, and Yuba Squad fight in the night division of rank wars[12] on February 19[13], Ōji Squad must have competed in the day division against Ninomiya Squad, Ikoma Squad and Suzunari First. They rank fourth at the end of the match.[14] That same night, Ōji Squad and Ikoma Squad are deployed to intercept opponents west and south of the base in preparation of Galopoula's Invasion.[15][16]

    Round Five (Night)[edit source]

After the results of the night division are tallied, Ōji Squad is overtaken by Tamakoma Second and pushed to fifth place.[14]

    Round Six[edit source]

On Saturday February 22, Ōji Squad fights Tamakoma Second and Ikoma Squad in the day division of rank wars.[17] In the meeting before the start of the match, Kazuaki Ōji announces his decision to select Cityscape A as the map, which befuddles Kashio at first, but after his captain's explanation he understands that he is looking to minimize risk.[18] Ōji tells his teammates that their main target will be Osamu Mikumo, prompting Kashio to ask more questions. They agree not to go over their strategies to deal with Ikoma Squad due to how many times they have already fought them.[19]

When the match begins, Kashio spawns in the south-western area of the map. His teammates and he start searching for Osamu right away. Kashio heads north-east and spots Kōji Oki, but instead of pursuing them, he reports his finding as he moves further east, towards another zone where Osamu might be. Ōji has him activate Bagworm and continue south-east, where he soon spots Osamu's wires. He proceeds to cut them down as he keeps looking for Tamakoma Second's captain, until he sees his Asteroid hit a billboard. He rushes to its origin, by instead of Osamu he runs into Kai Minamisawa.[20] The two clashes until Kazuki Kurauchi comes close enough to hurl a Salamander cube at Minamisawa and Kashio seizes the opening to fire Hound at the enemy Attacker, forcing him to bail out.[21] The now reunited Ōji Squad resumes searching for Osamu, but Yūma Kuga cuts them off and chops off Kashio's sword arm. Moments later the fighters spot Tatsuhito Ikoma and avoid his Senkū[21] twice. The members of Ōji Squad fire their Hound at Yūma, but he manages to get away unscathed. Kashio saves Kurauchi with a well-timed Grasshopper, only for him to be taken out by Yūma's sneak attack. Kashio and Ōji withdraw and split up to target the Snipers.[22]

Kashio spots Chika Amatori and begins to chase her, using the environment and Hound to neutralize her Lead Bullet attacks. He rapidly gains on her, but he stops momentarily when she hops as she runs, tricking him into believing that Osamu has laid invisible wires there. By the time he resumes his pursuit, Osamu arrives and defends Chika, allowing her to immobilize Kashio with Lead Bullet. He opens fire at the approaching Osamu, but the Sniper shields him, allowing him to cut down Kashio.[23] The match is eventually won by Tamakoma Second, with Ōji Squad scoring a total of three points.[24]

    Round Seven[edit source]

Since Tamakoma Second faces off against Kageura Squad, Azuma Squad, and Suzunari First in the day division of rank wars on March 1[25], it can be inferred that Ōji Squad competes against Ikoma Squad and Ninomiya Squad in the night division.

    Round Eight[edit source]

On March 5th[26], Ōji Squad faces off against Azuma Squad and Kageura Squad in the day division of rank wars. Azuma Squad wins the battle, which took place in Exhibition Hall, with a final score of 4-3-3, putting Ōji Squad provisionally in fifth place.[27]

    3. Daisuke Ashihara: Q: Why couldn't upper B-ranks like Ninomiya Squad or Kageura Squad participate in the Second Large-Scale Invasion? Did they travel far away on their time off?
A: It seems I lost the chance to draw it in the story itself so I'll write it here: "HQ Chief Shinoda gave the order that B-rank and lower agents are not allowed to participate in the fight until all members of the team are present". It seems he was worried about agents acting on their own and getting captured by Rabbits. Of course, there are also teams like Kako Squad who was late to the fight because their captain went out on a drive on her time off.

A: In Chapter 124, when Shinoda said, "Leave one squad in the West and one in the South," that was those two.
