Ninomiya Squad[edit | edit source]
Masataka Ninomiya[edit | edit source]
Ninomiya and Inukai are close friends and teammates.
Shinnosuke Tsuji[edit | edit source]
Inukai and Tsuji are close enough to hang out together with their teammates outside of Border,[1] including for the former's birthday.[2] While both are normally serious and task-oriented in battle,[3] Tsuji may reprimand Inukai if he begins goofing around.[4] Even during combat, the Gunner will often take the time to thank and compliment his teammate for his assists.[5][6] Similarly, Tsuji appears to hold Inukai's aim in high esteem, standing unperturbed among his training targets as the Gunner practices.[7] Inukai addresses Tsuji by his surname followed by the diminutive suffix -chan,[6] while the Attacker appends to his older teammate's surname the more respectful honorific -senpai.[4]
Aki Hiyami[edit | edit source]
Hiyami and Inukai are close enough to hang out together with their teammates outside of Border,[1] including for his birthday.[2] She addresses him by his surname followed by the honorific -senpai,[8] while he uses her nickname.[9]
Kageura Squad[edit | edit source]
Masato Kageura[edit | edit source]
Inukai is aware of Kageura's contempt for him, but is not bothered by it;[10] in fact, he'll even humor him for it.[11][12] As such, he has made the effort to say exactly what is on his mind for the sake of Kageura's side effect, later admitting: "This is honestly the best our relationship's ever been."[13]
Yuzuru Ema[edit | edit source]
Inukai refers to Ema by his first name and the honorific -kun.
Others[edit | edit source]
Futaba Kuroe[edit | edit source]
Inukai befriended Kuroe after doing a solo rank match together.[14] He is very playful with Kuroe, fiddling with her twin tails when they were idling about.[15]
Rokurō Wakamura[edit | edit source]
Inukai agreed to tutor Wakamura in Gunner techniques for an unknown amount of time. Wakamura refers to him by his surname followed by the honorific -senpai, denoting respect.[16]
