    Inukai goes into Full Attack.

Being a member of the B-Rank #1[1] (formely A Rank #4[2]) squad, Inukai is a very skilled fighter. He has reached Master Class with Asteroid[3], and needs less than 1,000 points to achieve it with Hound.[3] He has a good degree of mobility, being able to run on a wall to reach his target[4], as well as good reactions, which allowed him to summon a Shield quickly enough to intercept the bullet of an Ibis[5] and dodge Okudera and Koarai's surprise attack[6], — although he still lost an arm.[6] Thanks to his fighting experience, he was able to see through Osamu's multi-layered trap and counter appropriately.[7] Inukai also has a high degree of dexterity, catching his weapon in the air by the rifle's trigger after momentarily losing it.[6]

    Triggers[edit | edit source]

    Sumiharu Inukai's Triggers
    Current
    Type Normal Asteroid

    Classification Gunner

As a Gunner who is Master Class with Asteroid[3][8], Inukai is proficient with Asteroid. Inukai uses as an assault rifle which grants him a high rate of fire.[9] Inukai is skilled enough to accurately shoot at his opponent while moving[3][10][11], even when he only has a single hand.[10][12] Inukai has been shown being able to shoot nearby stationary targets without hitting his teammate[13], as well as move his gun slightly to bypass smaller shields.[14] Inukai first uses Asteroid in Chapter 112 (Episode 68 in the Anime).
    Type Normal Hound

    Classification Shooter

Sumiharu Inukai is notable for using Hound as both a Gunner and a Shooter.[8]

As a combatant who is 1,000 points away from reaching Master Class with Hound[3], Inukai is proficient with Hound. Exploiting ability to home in on the target, Inukai can use it for pincer attacks with another Gunner Trigger.[15] Inukai is first seen using Hound in Chapter 192 (Episode 98 in the anime).

    Type Normal Scorpion

    Classification Attacker

Not much is known about his skill level with Scorpion as his singular usage is to cut off his arm that was hit by Chika's Lead Bullet.[16] It's likely that he only uses it in emergencies due to the previous statement and having less than 6,000 points (as he has 6,000+ points with two Gunner Triggers, but isn't counted as an All-Rounder).[17] Inukai is first seen using this trigger in Chapter 194 (Episode 99 in the anime).
    Type Normal Shield

    Classification Defense

Inukai is highly skilled in using Shield, actively altering its shape in a fluid manner to adapt to battlefield changes.[7] As a Gunner, he puts it around his weapon to shoot while protecting himself[3] which is strong enough to block Yuba's Asteroid Bullets[18], however the gap led to his hand getting blown off.[18] He can instantly create a focused version to stop a Sniper's bullet,[5] or to block a Raygust in Shield Mode in close quarters combat.[19] When Inukai needs to run away, he can use focused shields to block Asteroid bullets[20] Inukai first uses Shield in Chapter 112 (Episode 68 in the Anime).
