Nono Fujimaru (藤丸 のの, Fujimaru Nono ?) is the Operator of Yuba Squad.
Appearance
Fujimaru is a pale, athletic[3][5] young woman with indigo eyes and voluminous, neck-length light brown hair, standing at a height similar to Tonooka. Her locks clump just below the chin, alongside a flyaway strand or two.
In her Trion Body she wears the standard Operator uniform, leaving her jacket open and necktie omitted (which may be due to her large chest). During Yuba Squad's reunion at a restaurant, she sports a cuffed button-down shirt with striped decals down the center.[6]
Personality
Yuba Squad's operator exhibits a lively demeanor that's on display when imitating her former teammate's mannerisms prior to Round 8,[7] or in her irked outcry following said member's wistful remark in-person.[8] This casual outlook on life can be seen through her laid-back appearance — although it was this same frankness that had her popularity plummet in school.[3] She also has a tendency to shout exclamations like, "Ack!" or "Yeesh!"[9] [10] While the aforementioned may point to a carefree persona, she does not hesitate to put her foot down,[11] having the capacity to act as "mediator," as well.[12]
Quotes
- (To her squadmates) "Look sharp! If we lose our high rank, old Kanda will be like... 'Guess Yuba Squad's hopeless without me.' And he'll have that smug look when he says it."[7]
- (In response to Kanda) "There it is! I toldja he'd say some crap like that!"[8]
Trivia
- "Fujimaru" (藤丸 ?) means "Wisteria circle" or "perfect Wisteria".
- According to Volume 21[13], she likes:
- Chocolate
- Carbonated beverages
- Manga
- It is probable that Kako's original hairstyle would eventually become Fujimaru's, as the author noted: "I really like this hairstyle, so I'll save it for someone else."[14]
- The conception of her character was aided by a CG transformation tool to assist with her torso transfiguration.[3]
- She does not consider herself to be a morning person.[11]
- Taichi considers her to be a good cook.[15]
- She was the one who adjusted Tonooka's trion body to have a "punk" hairstyle.[16]
- Her Japanese Voice Actress, Arisa Sekine, doesn't voice anyone else in the series.
- Her English Voice Actress, Brianna Johnston, also voices Yuri Rindō, and Fumika Teruya.

Daisuke Ashihara: Q: Why does the gentle and friendly Tonooka have a punk haircut?
A: "Tono is plain and is hard to find (in rank wars)" Koala's sigh of defeat was taken seriously by Nono "He's not plain, he's skilled!" And she made Tono flashy, which was very well received and became the norm.
