    (Redirected from Atsushi Hanzaki)

Yoshito Hanzaki ((はん)(ざき) (よし)(), Hanzaki Yoshito ?) is a B-rank Sniper and a member of Arafune Squad.

    Appearance[edit | edit source]

    Hanzaki without his cap.

Hanzaki is a light-skinned, short teenager with narrow black eyes and dark blonde hair that is straight in his fringe, but shorter and messy everywhere else. His Squad's uniform consists in a jet black jacket with turquoise stripes around the raised collar, along the zipper, around the hem and the wrists, and white ones around and inside the raised collar and on the outer side of the sleeves. There are also four white lines, arranged in two columns of two, to each side of the zipper. Above the topmost left white line is the B-rank logo with the Squad's position emblazoned on it. The attire is completed by jet black pants, boots, and a black cap with a turquoise visor, which he wears backwards.

    Personality[edit | edit source]

Hanzaki comes across as a listless, low-energy individual with a penchant for emphasizing the more tiresome or anyway negative aspects of a task or situation,[4][5][6] a habit he acquired from repeatedly taking challenges that exceed his ability.[7] Nonetheless, he is passionate about Sniper practice and hones his skills diligently.[8]

    Trivia[edit | edit source]

    • Hanzaki likes omurice (Japanese-style omelette wrapped around rice), ice-cream, naps, and games.[2]
    • He was erroneously listed as being 16 years old in his squad's profile extra[1], and character profile[8], as well as being erroneously listed as 17 in some copies of the databook.[2]
    • The author revealed that he had originally planned to have Hanzaki be 17.[8]
    • Hanzaki was supposed to send a text to an unknown receiver (probably either Hisato Sasamori or Daichi Tsutsumi) after the end of his Squad's match against Tamakoma Second and Suwa Squad, but the scene ended up being scrapped. The text would have read: "Don't be mean to the Snipers (ФДФ)"[8]
    • The Border Briefing File indicates that Hanzaki's sister is older than him, while Q&A from volume 24 indicates that his sister is younger than him.

    3. Daisuke Ashihara: Q: What are the names of Hanzaki's siblings?
A: The older brother is Takato ((たか)() ?). The younger sister is Minato ((みなと) ?) (TN Note: the kanji says little sister, which is likely a mistake based on previous info).
