    World Trigger Wiki

    Background[edit source]

Nire joined Border approximately two years before Chika Amatori and Yūma Kuga.[1] At some point Nire joined Kageura Squad and scouted Yuzuru Ema, which she used as leverage to install a kotatsu in the strategy room.[2] The Squad climbed all the way to A-rank no. 6[3] before being demoted when Masato Kageura threw an uppercut at Eizō Netsuki.[4]

    Introduction Arc[edit source]

Kageura Squad presumably takes part in the extermination of all Rads in Mikado City.[5]

    Large-Scale Invasion Arc[edit source]

Due to Masafumi Shinoda preventing B-rank Squads with missing members from fighting against Aftokrator's forces out of fear of capture, Kageura Squad is not deployed.[6]

    B-Rank Wars Arc[edit source]

    Round Two[edit source]

Since Azuma Squad, Katori Squad, Ōji Squad and Yuba Squad[7] compete in a four-way Rank War in the day division on February 5,[8] and Ikoma Squad and Ninomiya Squad are known to have clashed on that day,[9] Kageura Squad presumably faces off against them in the night division.

    Round Four[edit source]

On February 15, during the night division of rank wars, Kageura Squad faces off against Ninomiya Squad, Azuma Squad and Tamakoma Second.[10] As soon as the match starts, Hiro Kitazoe asks for Nire's help to find a good spot to launch his Random Meteor from. However, he fails to score any points, prompting Nire to chide him. He asks her to send a list of the locations Azuma Squad might be hiding in, but as she complains the Gunner is attacked by Masataka Ninomiya, who begins chasing him. She tells her teammate to hold him off as long as he can so that Kageura will be able to score more easily, but he incurs her ire when he insists that he will fight Yūma Kuga first.[11] She cheers when the ace of their team takes out Sumiharu Inukai.[12] When only Haruaki Azuma, Kageura, and Ninomiya are left, Kitazoe and Nire pressure their captain into staying hidden until the end. Time runs out without further developments and Kageura Squad ties in second place with Azuma Squad.[13]

    Galopoula's Invasion[edit source]

The following day, Nire is lazing around the strategy room when Ema brings Chika Amatori and Izuho Natsume over. She is surprised that her teammate would hang out with girls, but she quickly switches to offering them a sit around her kotatsu and playing with Natsume's cat. She stops to help Ema set Chika's Lightning to fire shots rigged with Lead Bullet, [14] and then watches his interactions with them despite the absence of sound, inferring that they are having a good time.[15]

    Round Five (Night)[edit source]

On February 19,[16] the night of Galopoula's Invasion, Kageura Squad fights a rank war against Azuma Squad and Yuba Squad.[17]

    Round Six[edit source]

Kageura Squad fights against Ninomiya Squad, Azuma Squad, and Suzunari First in the night division of the sixth round of rank wars. Kageura Squad and Ninomiya Squad tie at the top with three points. No Squad receives the survival bonus due to there being multiple survivors.[18] Following the match, Kageura Squad remains in second place with a point total of 34.[19]

    Round Seven[edit source]

A few days before round seven, Kageura invites his teammates and his other closest friends to his family's restaurant. Nire arrives after Ema has left. Kageura tells her that she is too late for dinner, but she asks him to cook more okonomiyaki as she cheerfully greets everyone. Over the next few days, she researches their upcoming opponents together with Ema. When March 1 comes[20] and they discover that Tamakoma Second has added a new member, she takes not of his good looks.[21] As Kageura and Kitazoe discuss how they will high tin Cityscape D, Nire asks Ema if he will snipe through the walls, but he impresses her with his resolve by saying that he will enter the mall and fight at Gunner range.[22]

The match begins and Kageura and Kitazoe team up against Tatsuya Kuruma and Kō Murakami. As they fight inside a shop, however, Taichi Betsuyaku switches off the lights. Nire scrambles to activate visual support, but moments after she does, the Sniper turns them on again. Dazzled, Kageura suffers a serious hit. While continuing to complain about her teammates' overreliance on her, she sends Ema the coordinates of the fusebox.[18] She is visibly displeased with Sumiharu Inukai's comments about Kageura's lacking performance at the end of the match.[23]

    Round Eight[edit source]

On March 5,[24] Kageura Squad faces off against Ōji Squad and Azuma Squad in the day division of rank wars. Azuma Squad wins the battle, which took place in Exhibition Hall, with a final score of 4-3-3.[25]

    6. Daisuke Ashihara: Q: Why couldn't upper B-ranks like Ninomiya Squad or Kageura Squad participate in the Second Large-Scale Invasion? Did they travel far away on their time off?
A: It seems I lost the chance to draw it in the story itself so I'll write it here: "HQ Chief Shinoda gave the order that B-rank and lower agents are not allowed to participate in the fight until all members of the team are present". It seems he was worried about agents acting on their own and getting captured by Rabbits. Of course, there are also teams like Kako Squad who was late to the fight because their captain went out on a drive on her time off.
