===Character Profiles===
    ====Volume 1 - Chapter 7====
    ====Volume 1 - Chapter 7====
Yuma - Just Break a Leg

The true heir to the duck lips and “=" eyes. He didn’t start out as a shorty, but if he’d been tall, the scene where he breaks the punk’s leg
    ====Volume 2 - Chapter 16====
would've been too controversial. So I’m glad he’s a shorty. Designed after a chicken.

    Osamu - Four-Eyes 4Evo

A straightforward character whose only initial character description was “guy with glasses.” His catchphrase is “What the...?!” At any given
    ====Volume 3 - Chapter 25====
moment, there's a high possibility that a sweat drop is on his face. If you collect 50 Osamus without a sweat drop, you can exchange them for a chance to win one golden Osamu.

Replica - The Round Black Floaty Thing

Autonomous all-purpose sidekick that takes care of all exposition. Indispensable for making the story flow smoothly, and very convenient. Designed after my rice cooker.
    ====Volume 4 - Chapter 34====

    Kitora - By A-rank, for A-rank

She's skilled and proud, and that makes her vulnerable—my favorite kind of character. My editor said, “The readers might not like her
    ====Volume 5 - Chapter 43====
personality.” So her bust size was increased to counterbalance that.

Arashiyama - Brother and Sister Complex

    | like this character a lot, but DRAWING HIS HAIR IS A PAIN.

    Mitsuru - Right, Arashiyama?

I've always felt that characters with sleepy eyes are competent. Therefore, Mitsuru is probably competent. He was more of a pretty boy in the initial design, but his current looks are more interesting.

    ====Volume 2 - Chapter 16====
Jin - The Bonchi Rice Cracker Diet

He's an elite agent of sexual harassment, using his Side Effect to pick out women who'll better tolerate his advances. Speaking of advances, he moves the plot along really well, but he’s so convenient that it's a problem. He has the same silhouette as Arashiyama, so it's rumored that one of them will get an afro or a mohawk at his next power-up.

    Chika - Neighbor Magnet

A quiet character with a tough-luck past—one of the character types I’m not good at. But she shows some backbone in the next volume, so it gets easier. People say she’s slowly getting smaller while her hair antenna is getting bigger, so it’s possible her antenna is absorbing her body.

Miwa - A-Rank Sister Complex (The Serious One)

A guy with a sister complex who's popular with female readers. He's always angry, but his forehead is covered by hair, so it’s hard to draw a
convincing angry face. Not a very functional design. I'd like to give him a haircut one of these days.

Yoneya - A-Rank Short Sleeves (Or so you think.)

He's always had lifeless eyes, but | kinda like him. I'm glad a lot of people noticed his buttons. He’s actually a cousin of Shiori, who appears in volume 3. Unfortunately, his family doesn’t run a rice store, unlike what his name implies.

Narasaka - A-Rank Mushroom Cut (Sniper)

He appears to be a relative of a mushroom, but he’s actually in the bamboo family. My assistants and editor think he’s really skilled for some reason, even though he hasn't done much. Do people judge a book by its cover after all?

    Kodera - A-Rank Glasses (Glasses)

He's A-Rank but always breaking out in a cold sweat. He is always behind the team, even though lower-ranked agents grumble about him. He's a glasses-wearing character who's often surprised. Since that’s the same as Osamu's role, it's rumored that the one who loses at the high jump will have to turn into a delinquent or reveal that he’s gay.

    ====Volume 3 - Chapter 25====
    Yotaro - Capybara Cowboy

A Border lifer who sort of has respect for Jin and Reiji, but not Konami. Everyone else he considers beneath him. He has a Side Effect that lets him talk to animals, but it only allows them to understand each other, and the animals don’t necessarily do what he says. He believes Raijinmaru is a dog.

    Raijinmaru - Tamakama's Dark Beast

One of the Three Mascots of World Trigger, along with Replica and Mr. Kinuta. He’s Yotaro's companion but has no respect for him. The name Raijin-maru comes from Yotaro’s favorite TV hero's dog

    Shiori - Glasses for All

Honorary president of the Border Glasses Association. Nice to everyone on principle, but secretly even nicer to people with glasses. Along with Kitora, she’s the female character i have the most fun drawing. It’s said her family runs a bookstore, and she has a little sister who's good at cooking.

Konami - So Cute Yet So Gullible

Her tenure is second only to Director Rindo’s. She believes anything she’s told, so everyone toys with her. The better friends she is with someone, the more willing she is to believe them. She believes in ghosts, E.S.P., aliens, and even Torimaru when he says Raijinmaru is a dog. But she’s very book smart. Not that it matters, but she’s Arashiyama’s cousin.

    Reiji - The Almighty Beefcake

Skilled beefcake who's good at everything from sniping to making sandwiches. Believer in “muscles are for being used,” and at odds with
believers of “muscles are for showing off.” He's all about muscles, but he doesn’t look down upon the physically weak. Instead, he believes in
using his physical strength to help those who are less muscularly endowed.

Torimaru - Gets By on His Good Looks

One of the few characters officially recognized as good-looking within the story. He inherited his sullen look from his teacher Reiji, which makes him look even cooler. His family is poor, but I missed the timing to bring it up, so | may not be able to. The jacket he’s wearing is a hand-me-down from Jin.

    ====Volume 4 - Chapter 34====
    Tachikawa - Two-Sword-Style Goatee Wielder

He’s ranked number one at Border among those with crosshatch eyes. He's a tough cookie who's not embarrassed about wearing a black trench coat and carrying two swords despite being over 20. He lives for combat, and unlike Yoneya, also has a talent for command. But | don’t think he’s good at anything other than fighting. Barely taking enough classes to stay in college.

    Kazama - A-Rank 21-Year-Old

He’s 5'2", but it seems like he shrinks every time | draw him. Pretty soon, he’s going to be indistinguishable from Yotaro and he'll be eating dinner at Tamakoma. He’s not concerned about his height, and he’s ready to fight using the cards he’s been dealt. His uniform is a pain to draw, and I die every time his squad is featured prominently.

    Toma

    Natural-Born Special No. 1 Sniper

The number-one sniper, he reads air currents by the sway of his pompadour. He’s not interested in easy targets. Although he skips training a lot, he’s overwhelmingly in first place solely by the merits of his combat record. By the way, Trigger bullets aren't affected by air currents.

Izumi - 100 Hits out of 1,000 Shots

Trigger-happy eye candy with flashy attacks. He had the difficult mission of being memorable without getting anything chopped off, but unfortunately Satori got in the way. He’s the laidback genius type, but since he sticks the points of his bangs into his eyes, maybe he's not that smart.

    Kikuchihara - Nick of Time

He's A-Rank #3, and his suggestions aren't even half bad, but get your head chopped off one time and everyone thinks you're an idiot! Maybe he tells himself, “Jin targeted me first because he thought | was the biggest threat.” He's got some ego.

Utagawa - This Is No Time to Blend In

He's A-Rank #3, and his hair is pointy, but DON'T get your head chopped off one time and no one remembers you! His position is similar to Mitsuru’s in Arashiyama Squad. I hope his character develops slowly, instead of going for laughs and getting his head chopped off. Good luck.

    ====Volume 5 - Chapter 43====
Sato-ken - Didja See My Lightning Kowtow

My plan was to make him one of Border’s foremost playboys, with Arashiyama Squad fangirls screaming for him, but he turned into the kowtowing comic relief. I'll state here that it was through no fault of Satori’s, but because girls were already screaming for Arashiyama. I wanted to avoid overlap.

    Midorikawa - A-Rank Jin Fan

First mentioned in volume 2 (chapter 10). He was going to be one of World Trigger's rare jerk characters, but he matured during battle, and as if in orbit, circled back to dancing around Jin. A valuable younger character, the same age as Chika. Might be a juicy role.

    Azuma - Low-tension, Long-range, Long-hair

Border's first Sniper, a dyed-in-the-wool, long-range, long-hair guy. He taught sniping to Reiji, Toma and Narasaka. He also has the smarts to use Satori as an icebreaker. He probably blames Satori for a lot of things too. And he still gets a lot of respect.

    Mr. Kinuta - Talented Tanuki

He made a deal with the devil: he became an R&D genius in exchange for giving up human form. His cheeks get bigger with every chapter, engaging in a silent battle with gravity. The spell will be broken in the final chapter. Probably while seeing a vision of himself becoming handsome again and reuniting with his wife and daughter, he'll die at work.

Izuho - Probably Stronger than Sato-ken in-a Fistfight

She hates kids, but she’s the type that kids gravitate to. I imagined her as a B-Rank Sniper, but she got demoted to interact with Chika. Now she has more screen time. She's one of my favorite among the current bit players. She's easy to draw and easy to move, which is ideal for that type of character. | may have nothing but praise, but that’s okay once in a while, isn’t it?

The New "Three Idiots" - Shimmering Youth

Consummate expendable trio of Know-it-all, Vanity and Instant Kill (killed, not killer). They’re probably enjoying life at Border more than any other characters. They were insta-killed by Yuma, but otherwise they're promising new recruits, so they're actually more talented than Osamu. There may be some usurping in the future...

    ====Volume 6 - Chapter 52====
    Mr. Shinoda - Warm-hearted Tiger

HQ's top tiger. Mr. Kido gives him a hard time in every meeting. He increases his defense with such techniques as the “Tiger Arm-Folding” and the “Tiger Disapproving Look,” which make the fox and the tanuki break into a cold sweat. He’s so serious that people thought he'd be an anxious worrywart, but this volume shows how flexible and coolheaded he is in battle. The same age as Mr. Karasawa at 33.

Miss Sawamura - Low Kick on First Appearance

Enlisted at the same time as Azuma, now 25 years old. Used to have short hair, but since that was too similar to Chika and Kitora, her hair became long. Too bad. She loves Mr. Shinoda, but she’s a plucky woman who hides those feelings to carry out the mission. She's going to confess her love when this battle is over...

Amo - “Lets put an empty lot here.”

An artisan of the battlefield who dramatically arranges open spaces. The city abandoned after the Trion soldier attack was reborn by his hand into, oh my goodness, a wide-open field with nothing to obstruct the view. No matter how you look at it, he’s wrecking the city more than the Neighbors. My design concept for him was a stray dog.

    Suwa - Mr. Cube

One of the regular polyhedrons, a solid surrounded on six sides by a square. Used to be human, but now composed of 12 edges and 8 points. Personality-wise, he's actually no square—he's a fun character who does what he wants. A male version of Izuho. He’s one of my favorite B-Rank agents. Really.

    Tsutsumi - Narrow-eyed buzzcut with a Shotgun

The person who presumably said “Mikumo down" 25 times in volume 5. Quite the gambler, he believed in Osamu even after the 24th loss. He
has a kind face, and his weapon is a close-range shotgun, but he’s wavering between using that and summoning Suwa from the cube to make him fight.

    Sasamori - Discouraged Avenger

The rare appearance of a hot-blooded freckled. guy in World Trigger. The strategic lynchpin of Suwa Squad who pries open the enemy defense. He was beaten to the first cubing by Suwa, then he got chewed out by Kazama when he tried to avenge him. Poor thing. | like Suwa Squad a lot, so I hope he'll get a chance to shine soon...

    ====Volume 7 - Chapter 61====
    Ranbanein - Jolly Jet-Gorilla

A genuinely trigger-happy triple threat of smiles, muscles and firepower. It’s pretty fantastical to imagine guys like him flying all over Aftokrator. He was going to call Hyrein “brother,” but official opinion is split over whether he would've called him “Bro-bro,” “Brother dear” or “Brother mine.” “Best brother in the whole world” is a bit of a long shot. My design inspiration was a red ogre.

Enedora - #1 Adorable Moe Character

Along with the Rads and Mr. Kinuta, he’s one of the “Three World Trigger Moe Characters.” He's jiggling 24-7 thanks to his liquid Trigger; line up four Enedoras of the same color, and pop! They disappear. He was supposedly a nice kid before his horns were transplanted, but | doubt I'll ever get to draw that. My inspiration was the Hanya masks used in Noh theater.

Murakami - Twin Blade Top S

Barely 18, he’s a warrior who knows his position. He belongs to a minor branch and has a flaky captain, but he tries so hard that his forehead is all-out. Just like Reiji, Kazama and Kitora, people who are disciplined must want to expose their foreheads. I hope he interacts with Osamu and Yuma sometime.

    Kuruma - Bait Boy

He's like a fawn who strayed from his herd—a target for everyone. He comes from a rich family and grew up super spoiled, but he’s a well-balanced person who's humble, not arrogant or selfish, and popular. He's never been angry in his life. His hair will soon become curly like the Buddha.

Taichi - Swiss-Cheese Hat, Bottom Eyelashes

The unlucky Sniper who got obliterated when he followed Azuma. He tends to be clumsy, causing catastrophic damage while trying to do good, making him the true bane. He fiddled with a tropical fish tank and boiled the fish, but even though Kuruma shed tears of blood, he forgave him, forever earning Taichi’s respect.

    Chano Squad - Two-Page Spread B-Rank

Redshirts with a lot of ambition who used up a two-page spread as they were getting defeated. It's the classic story of getting into a crisis because of dual-wielding pistols. This squad can turn any battle into a defeat. Also, | looked at my character data chart, and it said, “Makoto Chano: a tomboy." I realized that I could get into trouble and pretended not to have seen it.

    ====Volume 8 - Chapter 70====
    Hyuse - Magnetic Youth

An elite fighter with the most modern Trigger, he was chosen at a young age for the away team so he should have been awesome. Unfortunately, he was matched against Jin and ended up looking like cannon fodder. He is from the most recent generation of horned fighters to be deployed, which in terms of stability and Trion augmentation is one of the best in history. But he has the terrible burden of only being able to sleep on his stomach. Live on!

    Viza - Building-Slashing Grandpa

He wields a brutal Black Trigger with a wide-ranged, indiscriminate, insta-kill slashing attack. As an expert swordsman with loads of experience, he can influence an entire war from afar. He has the makings of a true hero. He is definitely one of the most powerful characters in World Trigger. He has probably brought down entire regimes by himself. He was definitely even more dangerous when he was younger. I'd really like to try drawing his past.

    Arafune - Hollywood Action Hero

He is a show-off sniper, always featured in scenes of jumping off the top of buildings. He most likely picks rooftops just so he can jump off of them. He goes to a prep school and has good grades, which is rare for a B-Rank agent. Maybe the academic pressure is fueling the flashy action. His weaknesses are his inability to swim and his fear of dogs.

Ayatsuji - The Epitome of a Model Student

The one everyone looks up to, both in and out of Border. She has the looks and the smarts, but is disastrous at the arts. While she is a perfect being in every other way, legend has it that her atrocious singing amused Commander Kido and made Karasawa break out in a cold sweat. Additionally, she is the iron-fortress C-cup who is the student council vice president at her prep school.

    Kaho Mikami - Mika-Mika

A competent Operator who, just like Kazama, is the embodiment of “small but effective.” As the eldest of four, she has been cultivated into a motherly figure with a caring personality and is thus especially popular with other women. Konami, Shiori, Ayatsuji, Kunichika and Sawamura all admire her. She is an A-cup who wishes that someone would take care of her sometimes.

Kunichika - From Spelunker to FPS

Border’s top gamer. Her days consist of eating,
sleeping and gaming. Unlike the other two women, she goes to an average school and her grades are only so-so. But she’s a number one A-Rank agent! Both her and Tachikawa are proof that grades aren't everything. She is a E-cup who will strangle her opponent with tears in her eyes whenever she loses a match.

    ====Volume 9 - Chapter 79====
    Hyrein - Mr. Discovery Channel

A natural entertainer who let the doves(?) fly loose the minute he landed. He can control over fifty different species of animal bullets. His favorite ones are the frog and giant tortoise, but they never actually hit an opponent. His horns lie flat on his head, meaning they don’t go out sideways like Hyuse’s, so he can’t sleep on his back, but he can sleep on his side. Why didn’t | do that for Hyuse’s horns? My design inspiration for him was a dragon.

    Mira - Sadistic Wormhole Woman

She's not someone you'd want as your enemy. Her wormholes and thorny smile terrify all of Aftokrator. Just saying, “The wormhole woman is coming,” will make even a whining child go silent with fear. She's annoyed about her reputation though. She is supposed to have a political marriage with either Hyrein or Ranbanein, and they're probably both terrified at the thought of it. My design inspiration for her was the devil.

Tsukimi - Too Good for You

She has been in the series since chapter two (voice only) and it took 70 weeks until her face was revealed. She's oblivious to cockroaches, but she hates all bugs so it doesn’t matter. Women who are too good for you tend to care only for the talented train-wreck guys. She set the record by improving both Tachikawa and Miwa’s performance by 20 percent through a Spartan training regimen. Too good for your standard C-cup.

Captain Fuyushima - Winter T-shirt (Techie)

Showed up only in name in chapter 25 but was smart enough to lie low and wait for 50 more chapters. With his long hair, weird inventions and squatting in combat zones—he was earning his intellectual points but ruined it all with an ugly T-shirt. He joined Border as an engineer, but was later scouted by an operator named Risa Maki. He's a 29-year-old who can’t say no to a high school girl.

Mini Replicas - If You See One, There's Thirty

Pipsqueaks that budded off from the rice cooker. They're very handy, easy to draw, and very knowledgeable about Neighbors. Such capable characters! Replica can create as many minis as his Trion reserves can support, making him a surprise key player in the Invasion arc. Yuma’s
dad sure did build something super convenient. Amazing!

    ====Volume 10 - Chapter 88====
    Commander Kido - Eyebrow Slit

The organization's leader, whose facial scar is often forgotten by the manga artist. The best medical staff available tried to restore his lost eyebrow, but nothing could be done. He demonstrated that he was actually able to stand up in this volume, but he is more intimidating while seated. So now the rumor is that he will always appear while being carried around in his chair.

    Mr. Karasawa - Loves Rugby

He played rugby in school. He was well known back in the day as the calm and clear-minded fly half who orchestrated many great plays with a style that worked through even the smallest gaps in the opposing team’s formation. He was raising funds for an evil organization until five years ago, but playing rugby got him recruited by Border. Even today his skills help him make astute observations in the conference room. His weakness is that he’s a lightweight when it comes to alcohol.

    Mr. Netsuki - Surprisingly Handy

The paragon of P.R. Since the beginning, he has existed to help other characters stand out. He went to the press conference perfectly prepared, but since he didn’t play rugby in school, his plans were ruined by Mr. Karasawa and upstaged by Osamu. He would've been able to avoid this tragedy if he had only played rugby. His weakness is bad luck.

Osamu's Mom - Someone give her a stick

A mother of one, who seems cool but is actually a close-range Attacker. She made passionate passes on her husband in College and got married right after graduation. The Mikumo household is a standard nuclear family. The son participates in the Rank Wars, the father goes overseas to build bridges and the mother goes down to the stream to do the laundry. But then a handy stick came floating down the stream, so the reporters should make a run for it. She’s 39 and from the same graduating class as Netsuki.

    Osano - Lollipop Lucky Girl

An incomparable instinctive Operator. In junior high, she belonged to a talent agency and worked as a fashion model until she got bored and quit. The lollipop in her mouth comes from a stash Konami bought when she was tricked into believing they'd increase her bust size. They didn’t work for Konami, but they did for Osano! The world smiles upon those free from greed, C-cup.

Sakurako - What Happened to Your Day Job?

She has patiently made presentations to the engineers and senior officers ever since she was a C-Rank and is the one who made the current Rank Wars broadcasting system. She's contributed greatly to training rookies and increasing Border's overall tactical levels. Her achievements are quite extraordinary. She likes melons and seasoned rice. She hates cilantro and praying mantises. Self-assessed B-cup.

    ====Volume 11 - Chapter 97====
    Kako - Flying Diva Lady

She's got the runway walk and is a my-way-or-the-highway kind of gal. Shooter with a beauty mark. A free spirit with a celebrity aura even though her family is normal, so she must be a mutant. Her hobby has been cooking weird fried rice since she was six, leaving a ton of victims in her wake. Mint chocolate fried rice killed Tsutsumi. Salmon roe custard fried rice killed Tachikawa. Tsutsumi fell victim to honey-smelt fried rice. Daichi Tsutsumi died twice!

    Kuroe - Blossoming Ninja Girl

She looks like she’s the same age as Chika, but she is one year younger, making her the youngest A-Rank agent. She went to elementary school in the mountains with Midorikawa and used to fish and forage for mushrooms. It only took her a few months to evolve into a city girl after attending middle school there. Since she was trained in the mountains, she can't die eating Kako's horrible fried rice. Daichi Tsutsumi dies a lot though.

Kagami - One-hour Train Commute to College

Creative Operator who is slated to go to a fine arts university. She always keeps colored clay in her desk drawers, and creates weird little dolls to express her joy when her Squad wins, or regret when they lose. | thought of having Arafune send one of those dolls to Osamu after their battle and leaving him speechless, but with regret, it was omitted. An A-cup with unlimited creativity.

Pokari - Even the Voice in His Head Is Quiet

Keeps up with the happenings in the world of Snipers, something most people are unfamiliar with. He's chattier and more normal via text. | had an idea to have him send a text to Hisato, “Sorry | egged you on☆ | feel like you're growing to where you don’t need me anymore (T∀T)” but there weren't enough pages. Hisato would've replied, “Thanks for the point (^-^)"

    Yoshito - Explosive Bedhead

The author is always getting this lackadaisical Sniper's age wrong. He was among the 17-year-olds for a while, but he de-aged to 16 years old. Like Pokari above, | had an idea for him to send a text, “Don’t be mean to the Snipers (ΦДΦ),” but that was cut for no reason. | feel sorry for him, so even though he whines and complains, I'll say that he’s a precise Sniper who practices diligently.

    ====Volume 12 - Chapter 106====
    Nasu - Sickly Girl (Tomahawk)

The No. 2 trigger-happy idiot with flashy attacks. She joined Border to participate in research to see whether a sickly person can get better with a Trion body. Six months later, she’s jumping around blowing holes in her opponents. I think she’s the prettiest character I've drawn recently. She has many secret fans within Border. Also, it's not important, but she’s Narasaka’s cousin.

Kuma - Katana + High School Student

Due to my manager tenaciously adding screentone shadow to her chest, she became one of the bustiest female characters in Nasu squad. She was the driving force behind the formation of Nasu squad. She often focuses on guarding Nasu, so she doesn’t have many solo points, but her counterattacks are quite impressive, earning the respect of male Attackers. She’s been the most fun to draw recently.

    Akane 0 Waaah!

She's in middle school and fond of fingerless gloves—an intrepid girl. Her older brother is Kuma’s classmate, but she doesn’t know that he has a crush on Kuma. She was popular as the youngest female Sniper until Chika and Izuho showed up. She doesn't know that though. She's generally clueless. She's the most stereotypical cartoony character in the series. She's originally from one of my one-shots.

Sayoko - Cardboard Boxes in Her Room

A recluse who designed Nasu squad's current uniform, earning the praise and respect of some of the guys. She's not good at handling the opposite sex, especially older guys, to the extent that it affects her life. She stays at home and was living on water and pickled kelp sent by her family when she was scouted by Kuma. She now has her financial situation in check and gets her supply over the internet. A slouching B-cup.

Kon - No. 1 Bob Hair

An unfortunate Operator who can claim the pointless stat of having no waist. Is it the result of eating too many sweets to neutralize her stress from dealing with Taichi? She goes to a normal school, but gets good grades and is a good cook. She once rescued Toma and Kunichika from their atrocious grades. She’s a character for the people with discriminating taste who know what's up. She's the ideal traditional Japanese woman, with an A-cup.

    ====Volume 13 - Chapter 115====
    Ninomiya - Bullet Elite

A hotshot who bragged to all who would listen that he had the highest trion levels of all time (at the time he joined Border). Shinoda schemed to toss him into Azuma Squad along with Kako and Miwa, thus schooling him in the ways of strategy. He's actually a bit of a simpleton. He picked black suits for his squad's uniforms to avoid the cosplay look of other squads. Little did he know that their uniforms were the most cosplay-like of all! I did say he was a simpleton.

Kage - Off With Their Heads!

He uppercutted Mr. Netsuki and was demoted to B-Rank. He's the second son of an owner of an okonomiyaki restaurant. His side effect is the most tiring in the manga, but his teeth were too pointy for him to be a nice guy and have people look at him with affection. His hair is super annoying to draw, so he may soon awaken to the wonders of baseball or Buddhism and shave his head.

Yuzuru - A Lock on Youth

Contrary to his naive appearance, he is a puberty black hole who was born with the natural ability to interact with girls. He comes complete with connections to high-ranking characters like Toma, Kageura and Ninomiya. Now all he has to do is start playing rugby, and the Business Director is confident he'll have a bright future. He’s one of the few naturally gifted junior high schooler agents who can hold a top solo-rank spot...even if he slacks off during training.

    Zoe - Fat Lion

A physically fit hunk of meat who can run and dance. He's one of the top two along with Reiji in terms of raw physical strength. He and Kageura came to a mutual understanding after eight rounds in solo battle. He's a quiet hunk of meat who doesn't like to fight, but Kuruma's influence has nudged him toward acting like more of a do-gooder, increasing his empathy toward girls and younger kids and his respect for his seniors. He’s grown to become a lovable mascot.

Inukai - He Does NOT Own a Dog

He's the back of the head in Osamu's flashback. In Hatohara’s yakiniku picture, he was cut off at the nose. He’s second to none when it comes to only parts of him being visible. He's friendly to everyone because his two older sisters hammered communication skills into him. He's Ninomiya Squad's No. 2 and balancer. Kageura is the same age and holds a one-sided hatred against him, but he doesn’t mind. He's bigger than that.

    Tsuji - Wordless Kogetsu Whirlwind

The one who didn't get to show his face in Osamu's flashback. He's known for his great assists, just like Izumi and Tokieda. He's pretty good looking, but outside of his teammates he has difficulty even looking girls in the eyelet alone having a conversation with one! If he fought against Kako or Nasu Squads, he'd get crushed.

    ====Volume 14 - Chapter 124====
    Okudera - Exploding with Prudence

Azuma squad‘s rear cowlick. A quick-learning child prodigy who has always been calm. After a Rabbit took him out during the invasion, he's become even more prudent! He's school friends with Tokieda and Torimaru and has had a crush on Mako, who lived near him, ever since he was little, but not even Koarai has noticed. You can do it, Okudera! His messy hair is actually just bedhead.

Koala - Almost Eaten but Still Looking for Fun

Azuma Squad’s forward cowlick. A child prodigy who has always been carefree. Even though a Rabbit almost ate him in the invasion, he has the mental strength to move on. He's school friends with Taichi and Sato-ken. He had to cling to Azuma’s leg for over an hour to let him join his squad. Calm down, Koarai the Koalal! His hair is the product of careful styling.

Mako - Natural Born Big Sister

Azuma Squad's big sister. She doesn’t even have younger brothers, yet this child prodigy was born with a responsible personality. She’s school friends with Kagami, Kon and Zoe. Her grandfather died protecting her in the first invasion, so after thinking long and hard about what she could do with the rest of her life, she decided to join Border. Okudera and Koarai tagged along with her. Good luck, C-cup.

    Hyami - Slick

The top B-rank Operator and one of the countless Torimaru fans at HQ. She was the shy, nervous type, but Hatohara asked her, “Why be nervous around anyone who isn't Karasuma?” And then she conquered her fears in two seconds. She has the slickest hair out of all the characters, courtesy of my editor's finishing touches...he's very particular about female characters. An A-cup girl in love.

    Hikari - Sleepy Helpful Sister

She has some of the worst grades among the 17-year-olds, but she’s pretty competent as an Operator. She’s an all-business powerful strategist willing to sacrifice Zoe. She succeeded in placing the kotatsu in their Strategy Room by taking credit for recruiting Yuzuru to their squad. She has a younger brother at home, but since he’s brilliant and doesn’t need to be taken care of, she’s always hungry for someone to fawn over. This B-cup hates the cold.

    Enedorad - Ultimate Reincarnation

It's a combination of the top three moe characters in World Trigger, sending a soft shock through the industry! This guy's willing to hand out all sorts of secret information. Now that Replica’s gone, he's aiming for the moe and mascot roles. When he appeared in the same panel as Mr. Kinuta, who also fulfills both roles, I wondered if I pandered to readers too much. One of my favorite characters.

    ====Volume 15 - Chapter 133====
    Gatlin - Corporate Warrior

A subcontracted leader who has to protect his people from crazy jobs dropped on them by the higher-ups by leading with an iron fist. A man with sideburns who worked his way up the ranks to eventually become the captain of the Away Team. A bearer of sideburns that even connect to his beard! If it wasn't for Jin's foresight, his mission would've succeeded. Mr. Dramatic Sideburns..who has a wife and 8-year-old son back home and can easily pull off a dramatic hostage situation.

Rata - Poorly Cultivated by Clean Water

A buzz cut with clear eyes who I initially nicknamed “baseball boy’! There's a long and deep story for why his hair is cut this way, but I always wonder if the readers would find it entertaining or not. He originally had Reghi's hair, but they were later switched. He's a very important buzz cut who may play a huge role in things to come.

    Wen - Copy-and-Poste Jutsu

A master of panda-eye makeup who ranks No. 1 in the Fanciest Way to Die on Her First Try Category. | thought her multiplying Trigger would be easy thanks to digital retouch tech, but | soon found out it was exact opposite. The Wen vs. Nasu and Kuma battle was the death of me. Despite being rough with words, she's a sharp-edged ponytail girl who walks among elites. Can't handle centipedes.

    Koskero - Slimy Side-Beard

A mushroom guy who gets slimy, bouncy and slippery. He's a capable man who was seen enjoying a piece of bread in his first appearance and always cheers up his men when they're down. He has the second greatest sideburns next to his captain's, but they somehow didn't reach his beard...and somehow he was defeated by Miwa. He joined the military back when he was living alone and he worked his way up from chore boy to apprentice to vice captain of the Away Team. A secret sports-spirit mushroom-cut.

Reghi - Punching Bag of the Year

A wonderful young man who made the greatest contribution to the Galopoula arc. First, he backed up the front line by commanding Trion soldiers and then suddenly he took five dogs for a walk in the park. He's the absolute MVP! His trigger, which will appear in the next volume, is so complicated to draw that my staff is worrying if it will appear again. At the very least this rookie will reveal his bobbed hair!

    Yomi - Creepy Radio Controller

A multicore boy with twice the processing power of the average Reghi! A genius engineer who created his own Idra operating device. The negative aspects of his Simultaneous Cerebration Side Effect are unknown. Do the hemispheres of his brain fight with each other? A boy with a black helmet who is so handy and does such a large portion of the work that his teamates worry if his anger meter is rising.

    ====Volume 16 - Chapter 142====
    Zaki - Angsty Normie

Even though he was busy trying to portray himself as a weak man in the flashback scenes, he’s actually really popular with his friends and juniors and even plays basketball with Utagawa and Kuma on his days off. He's basically an athletic dude living the good life. He appears to be the most low-browed man amongst all the characters, but his hair is actually long in the front. Most people just don’t notice. He's one of the few 19-year-olds with common sense and is good at problem solving. Age of death...92.

    Teruya - Courageous Stalker Waifu

A highly skilled, too-good-for-you lady from a preppy girls’ school. This lofty-dream-girl has a habit of taking care of weaklings and (abridged for space) has some balls to indirectly say “I'm here to look after you cuz you suck,” which comes from her slightly sadistic side. But she can’t handle ghosts. In a haunted house in an amusement park, she beat the crap out of a ghost doll actor and she got away with it thanks to her dad’s money. All hail the power of money!

    Kotaro - Well-Trained Puppy

Avery precious puppy whose loyalty didn’t fade even after his captain turned out to be super lame. While he claims to respect Kakizaki, his hair is styled after Jin’s. What the heck is wrong with you, kid?! Anyway, thanks to his obedient and respectful personality, he’s idolized as a mascot...particularly by his female seniors. Here's another dude who's living the good life!

    Ui - Shadow Boss

A realist operator who maintains a cohesive team by whipping her flaky captain’s butt into gear. Her personality is as refreshing as cold somen noodles in the summer—a stark contrast to the normies on her squad. She lives in temporary housing in Mikado City, but is saving up to live with her family in a place that allows cats. A B-cup girl whose eyes look similar to Izumi's and Arafune’s, but is not related to either of them.

    Yuiga - Protagonist's Rival

A-Rank No. 1 and a scion of a large enterprise. The rival/senior to Four-Eyes. What a juicy position! His position and title alone should be good enough to get him a ton of fans...aaaand | hear cicadas in my office, in the walls, making weird sounds...and now I’m scared. | was okay with bugs when | was little. Why am | scared of them now that I’m older? They're still chirping...

    ====Volume 17 - Chapter 151====
Yoko - Her Boobs Are Probobly Fake

Her side effect(?) is increasing her cup size when she uses a Trion Body. She is also known for secretly copying Konami and Nasu Squad's uniforms to increase her own popularity...and it worked! She has a good number of fans who don't mind her bad attitude. Her crush on Torimaru is totally obvious. She’s one of my favorite recently introduced female characters in the series.

Hana - A Flower That Blooms on the Battlefield

A glove-wearing girl whose past is pretty serious. Until recently, a lot of fans actually theorized she was a germophobe, had a prosthetic, or was even a poison dart-shooting assassin! Yuta is her cousin, though they look nothing alike. After she lost her house, she lived at his place for a while. She’s a secret Arashiyama fangirl and enjoys her life at Border.

    Yuta - Between a Girl and Four-Eyes

A spineless attacker whose catchphrase is, “C'mon, guys!” His current record is repeating it 46 times in one day. He joined Border thanks to his connection to Hana and his crush on Yoko. Even though he’s done nothing but kiss up to Yoko, he did manage to man up a bit this volume. He’s friends with a lot of the younger Attackers since he’s so relaxed and easygoing. With enough funding, he could create his own Kuruma 2.0 slot! | want him to win the lottery.

    Rokuro - I Wanna Be Moster-Class Now!

A tragic hot-blooded four-eyes whose passionate speech landed him a cellphone smashed into his face. He joined the squad because he’s friends with Yoko's brother, but now he’s just attracted to Hana’s cool demeanor. It really just goes to show you we're all attracted to people with things we don't have. | think he’s good looking, but his personality is so lame. | expect him to be at least a little popular with the other gunners.

    Raizo - Chubby Thunder

An operator at Border who guards Enedorad. They watch movies at work together like it’s no big deal. He specializes in “observation and containment of the shock waves caused by Trion reactions." In addition to the Raygust's Thruster, he’s also in charge of finding ways to upgrade Meteor. He's interested in dabbling in Trion Soldier development and seems to be pals with Enedorad both at work and in his private life. He used to be thin but stopped caring about his figure and is now fat.

    ====Volume 18 - Chapter 160====
Iko - Eggplant Curry Straight from Naniwa

It says Naniwa, but he’s actually from Kyoto. He learned Iaido from his grandfather and somehow became a master of doing victory poses while looking at the camera. His expression doesn’t change often but he’s quite a sensationalist who is thrilled by all sorts of random things. He recently started playing guitar to get popular with girls but has no idea where or when he should show off his skills. Because of this, he’s started to wonder if he should switch his hobby to cooking.

    Mizukami - Liar Broccoli

A yellow vegetable and the best shogi player at Border, and was on track to become a professional shogi player until middle school. He can perform a high-level but plain technique where he shouts out an attack name different from the one he’s actually doing. But he’s said that this pretty much means nothing to anyone outside of Border. His hobby is rakugo, and he’s even memorized 20 to 30 classics. He may go to an average school, but he’s got excellent grades. He’s from Osaka.

Oki - Mr. Popular or What?

Mr. Visor with a mole by his eye who's being watched for a possible secret girlfriend since there are times when he’s unavailable during his days off. Rumors have spread, such as “he was walking with a woman wearing a mask,” or “he’s capable of listening to different girls talk to him at the same time,” or“ he was chasing after a girl in red at 300 kilometers an hour.” But it’s all a mystery. He’s recently picked up ping-pong as a hobby. He's from Osaka. .

    Kai - Kewpie 3-Minute Bailout

Oopsy-daisy attacker who watched Yuma’s video over 20,000 times and was immediately taken out by someone else. Despite his appearance, he's actually quite the hotshot and held 8,000 points (master class). He's a promising youth among the B-Rank 16-year-olds. He has the potential to grow into a team player, if only he fixes his bad habit of getting carried away. He's so good at karaoke that the music club at his school festival really wants him to help out. He's the only member from Mikado.

    Mario - Super Maori Brothers

A cold maiden who is not used to praises due to having been raised next to two brothers who go to Tokyo University and Kyoto University. She even quit decorating her squad's strategy room with flowers because she was too embarrassed to be praised for it. She has a complicated personality... She has many hobbies such as writing novels, making plush toys and composing songs. But only a few people ever get to see those things. C-cup girl from Hyogo.

    ====Volume 19 - Chapter 169====
Daisuke Ashihara - Signs of Life Confirmed

A hybrid manga artist who combines the intellect of a sixth grader with the body of a 60-year-old man. He's been MIA for nearly two years, but was apprehended without incident the other day when he was discovered in an air-conditioned room eating egg bread. The on-scene investigator confirmed traces of store-bought, pre-sliced cheese sandwiched between the egg bread. Ashihara Sensei confessed, “I've been eating it this way for the past six years,” flustering the investigator. Ashihara Sensei is classified as a “manga artist with especially smooth and shiny heels.” Two years of relative inactivity resulted in a sharp decline of his stamina, leading to plans to finally start hitting the gym, but all related parties predicted “There's no way he'll actually go to the gym.” That prediction is most likely accurate given Ashihara’s fickle and noncommittal nature. He is trying his hardest, but at a reasonable pace.

Koma - Champ of Picking Fights with Nobody

The mastermind who's been pulling Ashihara Sensei’s strings from the shadows ever since Ashihara Sensei built his studio. The illustration to the left makes the creature appear diminutive, but in truth he’s roughly the same size as Ashihara Sensei himself. Evidence suggests that Koma does indeed walk on two legs and can understand human speech to an extent. This creature is about as smart as your average middle schooler, has a habit of talking to the TV and habitually streams horror movies on the internet (he can’t handle them, but he loves them!). While watching said horror movies, Koma has been spotted trying to influence characters, saying things like, “You know the killer's right behind that door, right? You know that, don’t you?” While he has a high aptitude for handling processes with set rules and regulations, he’s a bit lacking on the creative side as evidenced when he took the easy route and added a leaf to Yoko's shirt (because the “yo” in Yoko is the kanji for leaf—this was fixed in the volume). He’s especially weak to the cold.

Oji - Both Mom and Dad Are Also Oji

A child of royalty whose name fits his appearance (‘Oji" means prince). He’s fond of fine black tea and horseback riding and blessed in intellect, charm and agility. When defeated a wild Oji has a 5 percent chance of dropping a croissant. Shockingly, he attends a public school and is in the same class as Zoe. He was originally an Attacker with Yuba Squad, but he wanted to go out on his own and ended up forming a squad with Kurauchi. That said, Oji is still on friendly terms with the members of Yuba Squad.

Kurauchi - Deadly Explosive Student Council Prez

This student council president at a private school has the most precise center part in his hair (his vice-president is Ayatsuji). Arafune and Inukai call him “Prez.” For a time, there was a rumor that he and Ayatsuji were dating, but they both laughed that off and denied it. Despite his robotic appearance, he’s quick to start bawling while watching an especially sappy and sad production. How will he fare at graduation? Like Oji, Kurauchi is another former member of Yuba Squad

Kashio - Also a Student Council Pres

Student council president at a private school (middle school) with a natural center part (senior student to the three idiot newbies). He's especially stiff and formal when dealing with superiors, probably because he was raised to speak to his parents in the most polite language. This natural prodigy never experienced failure before joining Border, but a harsh beating from Kitora taught him that he has a long way to go. Maybe that led to a crush? One has to wonder.

    Haya - Secretly a 2-D Otaku

An operator who secretly loves drawing and wants to become a manga artist. She opted for a design track in high school and was quite popular among boys from other courses. However, she only ever had eyes for her favorite 2-D anime boys, so the 3-D, real-life ones got shut down hard when they confessed to her. She designed the uniforms for Oji Squad herself, but if Kurauchi hadn't kept a level head and told her to go back to the drawing board a few times, they would've ended up with some truly fantasy-fulfillment clothing. Her C-cups are not to be trifled with.

    Katagiri - A-Rank Glasses (Baseball)

Unlike Koarai, this clever, straight-edge four-eyes calmly and level-headedly went to Azuma and requested to become the new captain of their current squad. He bears a resemblance to Hana, but it’s probably just the similar glasses and hairstyle. Katagiri, Yukimaru, and Yuitsuka simmered in the stew that was the second iteration of Azuma Squad until the flavor seeped in nice and deep, turning Katagiri into a highly tactical Gunner. You might think based on his appearance that Katagiri wouldn't like sports, but you'd be wrong! Up through middle school, he was apparently a smart catcher on the baseball team. He gets along well with Arafune, Hokari, Tsuji, and Kodera.

    Yukimaru - Warrior Tribesman

This free and easy Attacker opts for dual Raygusts—a superior loadout. Believe it or not, he does plan to pursue higher education, and his grades are pretty good. Yukimaru grew up in the same neighborhood as Katagiri and Yuitsuka, so they've known each other for a long time. He thinks more with his heart than his head, and during his time on the second iteration of Azuma Squad, he's provided seasoning that really brought out the flavors of the other ingredients in the stew that made up the squad. As the sort of battle junkie who says stuff like, “I wanna
fight the strongest guys out there,” Yukimaru once challenged Amo, who uses a Black Trigger, to a fight. They ended up becoming friends after that.

Momozono - Vow of the Momozono

He made A-rank shortly after being recruited to his squad, and he's so close to being a full-fledged, cream-of-the-crop Sniper that it hurts. He joined the squad after Katagiri and Yukimaru, so Azuma’s influence on him is barely noticeable. Despite being a basketball fan, Momozono opted for the baseball team in middle school at Katagiri's request. Even though he joined Border with the intent of becoming a Gunner,
he later switched to being a Sniper at Narasaka’s suggestion. He's the kind of guy who just goes with the flow, but those in the know whisper of Momozono's remarkable potential.

    Amakura - I perceive...all

She flits around the enhanced radar, rapidly turning her Bagworm on and off, making her a Sniper's worst nightmare. Amakura joined Katagiri Squad after they branched off to make their own squad, so none of Azuma’s influence rubbed off on her. She actually wanted to be an operator, but at her friend Yuitsuka's suggestion, she became Border's first-ever Spotter. Amakura has garnered a reputation as someone who is a hard counter to Fuyushima Squad. She was on the softball team in middle school, but she's not particularly athletic. She’s apparently very friendly with the older operators.

Miss An - Princess from a Fancy Family

The safety feature of Kako Squad, which is otherwise an engine of chaos. It’s not just that An’s family is kind of rich—they're basically royalty. She’s harbored a one-sided crush on Kuruma since they were little (their parents knew each other). She typically carries herself with a gentle manner, but a simple “Are you trying to make me mad?" from her is enough to make Kako and Mai stop messing around. Kuroe thinks An
would be a genuinely scary force to reckon with if she ever got really mad. It can be hard to tell where this C-cup is actually looking

    ====Volume 26 - Chapter 231====
    Suwa's team 7

    Suwa-san – Donburi on-site foreman
Ui-chan – Serotonin gal
Oki – Stress-Absorbent Male
Ossamu – Cheese-Spammer Four-Eyes
Katori – Ace spurred on by a carrot

    Attack: A+
Defense: B
Wits: B+
Kindness: A+
Creativity: S

It might not look it, but Suwa emphasized overall balance with his draft picks. Oki and Operator Ui bring a necessary injection of kindness to the squad, which is great for neutralizing Katori's venom. Meanwhile, Ossamu has an established rep for outlandish schemes, and every time his glasses glind, Kodera somehow gets roped into the madness, Rokuro gets a new lease on life, or the whole exam is thrown into chaos. When Katori is sent to the graveyard, she can be revived by sacrificing a good-looking dude. This squad is clever about unleashing last-ditch options, so keep an eye on them to see how high they'll climb

    Wakamura's team 11

Rokuro – Successor covered in flop sweat
Mario – I ain't your mom
Hanzaki – slow going, easy breezy
Hisato – Central pillar in the shadows
Hyuse – That's just common sense, for Canadians

    Attack: A
Defense: A
Wits: B-
Kindness: B+
Canada: S

Since the noncommittal Captain Wakamura was chosen as a captain out the blue, he screws up just about everything. Despite Operator Hosoi's attempts to motivate him, his glasses never manage to glint with brilliance, and the squad's been struggling from the start. Wakamura, with his tendency to fall into a negative spiral, probably shouldn't have been paired with Hanzaki, who means well but tends to be on the less motivated side. Sasamori believes in the squad's potential, but will his best efforts ever be rewarded? Meanwhile, how does the taciturn
Canadian feel about all this? I find myself hoping they manage a dramatic comeback from last place.

    Mizukami's team 9

    Mizucoming – Broccoli Confessional
Kon-chan – Squad 9's conscience
Arafune – Just here for a good time
Kashio – real flexible, this guy
Teruya – a fire-type gal.

    Attack: B+
Defense: A
Wits: S
Kindness: B+
Food: S

Mizukami’s Squad 9 is so full of vim and vigor that the judges have been overheard saying, “It looks like Mizukami’s broccoli is bushier by the
day.” Operator Kon's meals provide a morale boost, and from the cocksure look on Arafune’s face, you wouldn't even think this was an official
test. It seemed like the captain's sneaky one-man show would come back to bite him on Day 4, but his big lie got exposed, and somehow the overall vibe among the squad actually improved (?). Did his gambler’s resolve lead to a lucky break? Keep an eye on the rapid growth of the two young'uns, who are too goody-goody for their own good.

    Ninomiya's team 8

    Ninomiya – Socially inept teacher
Kagami – “Going at her own pace” Artist
Azuma-san – Old?
Chika – Targeted Monster
Yuzuru – A boy's assertion (voice of the heart)

    Offense: S
Defense: A+
Intelligence: B
Kindness: B
Trion: SS

The n.8 squad has been having a blast with their overwhelming amount of Trion, but the stakes have risen and Chika's hair strand is getting tousled. There is a recurring loop of Ema thinking “You could've mentioned that earlier” towards captain Ninomiya and captain Ninomiya thinking “you, could have spoken up” towards Ema…… That energy was gathered and reused in the flashbacks of chapter 236. Please look forward to the next volume, where Kagami's artistic spirit will be on full display.

    Utagawa's team 1

    Utagawa – No weaknesses…?
Sayoko – Overcoming her weaknesses
Ultima – Believes that younger people are amateurs
Yuma – Pro at being Japanese
Kotaro – Tiger of potential

    Offense: A+
Defense: B+
Intelligence: B-
Kindness: A
Consideration: S

Since the start of the test, team 1 has continued to maintain a good atmosphere thanks to captain Utagawa's thoughtful follow-up. Although Yuma and Kotaro are a bit slow with the general assignments, they are earning solid points from other tasks, placing them in a decent position for a team that possesses a Neighbor (compared to Canada). Will Sayoko ever be able to talk smoothly with the opposite gender? Can I find an opening to insert an Urushima episode? I'm begging you…… Yuma! The author is praying for you.

    Kodera's team 6

    Kodera – Strategic glasses
Rokuta-senpai – Single-task specialist
Okudera – 80 point everything
Muller – Bag of kindness
Kitora – Tiger of high motivation

    Offense: A-
Defense: A+
Intelligence: A+
Kindness: B+
Motivation: S

Pulled by two highly motivated A rankers, team 6 is ready to take first place in the final round. Although the unit strategy is hard, the calculation seems to suggest that the sealed environment can be overcome by the kindness of Miura picking 6 per day. To make up for their lack of Trion, a lot of effort is put into captain Kodera's glasses, and Okudera's stable gives the impression that he is indeed a student of Azuma. It can be said that the main concern at the moment is how Operator Rokuta, who is not good at parallel processing, will fare in the combat phase.

    Continuous[edit source]

    Character Profiles[edit source]

    Volume 1 - Chapter 7[edit source]

Yuma - Just Break a Leg

The true heir to the duck lips and “=" eyes. He didn’t start out as a shorty, but if he’d been tall, the scene where he breaks the punk’s leg would've been too controversial. So I’m glad he’s a shorty. Designed after a chicken.

    Osamu - Four-Eyes 4Evo

A straightforward character whose only initial character description was “guy with glasses.” His catchphrase is “What the...?!” At any given moment, there's a high possibility that a sweat drop is on his face.

    Kitora - By A-rank, for A-rank

She's skilled and proud, and that makes her vulnerable—my favorite kind of character. My editor said, “The readers might not like her personality.” So her bust size was increased to counterbalance that.

    Volume 2 - Chapter 16[edit source]

He's always angry, but his forehead is covered by hair, so it’s hard to draw a convincing angry face.

    Volume 3 - Chapter 25[edit source]

Believer in “muscles are for being used,” and at odds with believers of “muscles are for showing off.” He's all about muscles, but he doesn’t look down upon the physically weak. Instead, he believes in using his physical strength to help those who are less muscularly endowed.

    Volume 4 - Chapter 34[edit source]

Good luck.

    Volume 5 - Chapter 43[edit source]

    Volume 6 - Chapter 52[edit source]

He has a kind face, and his weapon is a close-range shotgun, but he’s wavering between using that and summoning Suwa from the cube to make him fight.

    Volume 7 - Chapter 61[edit source]

    Volume 8 - Chapter 70[edit source]

Her days consist of eating, sleeping and gaming. Unlike the other two women, she goes to an average school and her grades are only so-so. But she’s a number one A-Rank agent! Both her and Tachikawa are proof that grades aren't everything. She is a E-cup who will strangle her opponent with tears in her eyes whenever she loses a match.

    Volume 9 - Chapter 79[edit source]

Yuma’s dad sure did build something super convenient. Amazing!

    Volume 10 - Chapter 88[edit source]

    Volume 11 - Chapter 97[edit source]

    Volume 12 - Chapter 106[edit source]

    Volume 13 - Chapter 115[edit source]

    Volume 14 - Chapter 124[edit source]

    Volume 15 - Chapter 133[edit source]

    Volume 16 - Chapter 142[edit source]

    Volume 17 - Chapter 151[edit source]

    Volume 18 - Chapter 160[edit source]

    Volume 19 - Chapter 169[edit source]

    Volume 22 - Chapter 196[edit source]

    Volume 23 - Chapter 205[edit source]

    Volume 24 - Chapter 213[edit source]

    Volume 25 - Chapter 223[edit source]

As the sort of battle junkie who says stuff like, “I wanna fight the strongest guys out there,” Yukimaru once challenged Amo, who uses a Black Trigger, to a fight.

Even though he joined Border with the intent of becoming a Gunner, he later switched to being a Sniper at Narasaka’s suggestion.

Kuroe thinks An would be a genuinely scary force to reckon with if she ever got really mad. It can be hard to tell where this C-cup is actually looking

    Volume 26 - Chapter 231[edit source]

Meanwhile, how does the taciturn Canadian feel about all this? I find myself hoping they manage a dramatic comeback from last place.

    Mizukami's team 9

    Mizucoming – Broccoli Confessional
    Kon-chan – Squad 9's conscience
Arafune – Just here for a good time
Kashio – real flexible, this guy
    Teruya – a fire-type gal.

    Attack: B+
    Defense: A
    Wits: S
    Kindness: B+
    Food: S

Mizukami’s Squad 9 is so full of vim and vigor that the judges have been overheard saying, “It looks like Mizukami’s broccoli is bushier by the day.” Operator Kon's meals provide a morale boost, and from the cocksure look on Arafune’s face, you wouldn't even think this was an official test.

    Volume 27 - Chapter 238[edit source]
