Isami Tōma | |
---|---|
Tōma is the Sniper who has scored the most points with Egret, which is his only offensive Trigger, as such he is Border's No. 1 Sniper.[1] He also has the fourth highest score with any Trigger.[2][3] Against Arashiyama Squad, he managed to snipe Tokieda in the head while Kitora and he were falling,[4] and would have done the same with her moments later, still before either reached the ground, had Tokieda not interfered.[5] During practice, he scored a headshot against Chika from 645 meters away while she was jumping out of a window.[6] He was also capable of shooting through the moving, minuscule gaps among Alektor bullets that protected Hyrein.[7] |
Hayato Uno |
---|
Ken Satori | |
---|---|
Satori's main Trigger that focuses on range, he is the only Border agent with two Egrets in his Trigger set.[8] This is due to his unique ability to utilize both at the same time. Furthermore, he has demonstrated to be capable of hitting a target while moving, and without using a scope.[9] He generally ranks quite high during sniping practice, and his mastery is said to be top-class even within Border.[8]
Twin Snipe (ツイン狙撃, Tsuin Sunaipu ?): Satori summons two Egrets and, after taking aim with one eye per scope, fires them simultaneously.[10] This technique can be used against two different targets,[10] or against only one for increased firepower.[11] Acrobatic Twin Snipe (アクロバティックツイン狙撃, Akurobatikku Tsuin Sunaipu ?): An alternative version of Twin Snipe performed while the user is in motion and out of balance,[9] Satori used it to kill a Trion Soldier while falling head-first, without using the scopes.[9] |
Tōru Narasaka | |
---|---|
Narasaka is the Sniper with the second highest score with Egret,[12] which suggests he is an extraordinary user. He is always seen ranking first during sniping practice. With this Trigger, his range is the highest in Border,[13] and he is one of the only two agents capable of hitting an immobile target 1 kilometer away.[14] Narasaka was also capable of shooting through the moving, minuscule gaps among Alektor bullets that protected Hyrein.[7] |
Shōhei Kodera | |
---|---|
Egret is Kodera's primary Trigger[15][12][16], and is proficient enough to rank 9th in the Stealth and Target Acquisition Drill[17], however multiple middle-group B-rank agents got similar placements.[17] During his Fight against Yūma he was shown missing against a midair Yūma[18], however Narasaka seemingly trusted him enough to try and contain Yūma while he got in closer.[19] Kodera is first seen using Egret in Chapter 14 (Episode 7 in the anime). |

Yuzuru Ema | |
---|---|
Ema is so accurate with this Trigger that he can draw a star[20] by shooting into a 50 cm stationary target that moves farther away every five shots from a starting distance of 100 meters.[21] On that occasion he landed all 60 shots[20] with so little effort that Chika Amatori deemed him capable of putting a bullet exactly where he wants.[22] Ema is first seen using Egret in Chapter 107 (Episode 66 in the anime). |
Kōji Oki | |
---|---|
Egret appears to be Oki's preferred Sniper Trigger.[23][24][25] With it he was able to shoot off Yūma's arm despite the Attacker's incredible reflexes, which saved him from what would have otherwise been a lethal head shot.[26] When Kazuki Kurauchi was similarly propelled with Grasshopper, Oki only managed to injure his shoulder,[27] possibly due to needing to aim and fire quickly. Oki is first seen using Egret in Chapter 150 (Episode 82 in the anime). |
Haruaki Azuma |
---|
Kazuto Tonooka | |
---|---|
Egret appears to be Tonooka's preferred rifle. He is considerably proficient with it, hitting the small portion of Chika's Meteor cube that was not obscured by an obstacle before she was able to fire it.[28] Tonooka maintains Egret conjured even before reaching a sniping position,[29][30] presumably to be able to shoot as soon as an opening presents itself. He is first seen using Egret in Chapter 185 (Episode 96 in the Anime). |
Taichi Betsuyaku | |
---|---|
Taichi's rifle of choice for long-range sniping.[31] With it, he was able to place 13th in the stealth and target acquisition training.[17] He first uses it in Chapter 49 (Episode 24 in the anime). |
Tetsuji Arafune | |
---|---|
Arafune has reached Master Class with Egret,[32] his sole Sniper Trigger,[33] which speaks for a remarkable degree of proficiency with it. He managed to hit Ranbanein while the latter was flying[34] and to take out Chika immediately after she revealed her presence and despite the loss of both legs.[35] Arafune is first seen using Egret in Chapter 54 (Episode 25 in the anime). |
Atsushi Hokari | |
---|---|
As Egret is Hokari's only Sniper Trigger[36], he is very proficient with it, being able to take aim and fire in a matter of instants with very high accuracy[37], as well as hit an opponent in the head as soon as they come into view by readying his shot with the information gathered with Radar.[38] Additionally he was able to get 55th in the Stealth and Target Acquisition Drill, which ranked him higher than some A-ranks.[17] Hokari is first seen using Egret in Chapter 54 (Episode 25 in the anime). |
Yoshito Hanzaki | |
---|---|
Hanzaki is known to be one of Border's best sharpshooters. He is one of the very few Snipers who would be capable of shooting through the gaps of Hyrein's Alektor shield,[39] In battle he can shoot the head of a moving target without difficulty;[40] and who can hit an immobile target from one kilometer away.[14] With his extremely high accuracy, he can easily hit the head of a moving target.[40] Hanzaki is first seen using Egret in Chapter 54 (Episode 25 in the anime). |

Reiji Kizaki | |
---|---|
Although it is not one of the Triggers normally stored in his Trigger holder[41], Reiji equips Egret when his ability as a Sniper is required.[42] Since he was in charge of a group of Snipers[42], and is Chika’s mentor[43][44], it can be inferred that he is still very proficient with it. Reiji first uses Egret in Chapter 124, although in the anime she was shown using it as soon as in Episode 71. |
Mirai Hatohara | |
---|---|
Hatohara's exact level of skill with Egret is unknown, but Ema estimated her to be superior to Tōma and Narasaka, Border’s No. 1 and 2 Snipers. She was capable of shooting the opponent's Trigger without hurting them in the process.[45] Hatohara is first seen using Egret during Ema's flashback in Chapter 108 (Episode 66 in the anime). |
Chika Amatori | |
---|---|
Chika consistently uses Egret during sniping practice, although she has never utilized it in Rank Wars. Her skill however is quite high; in at least one session, she managed to place within the top 20.[46] With her immense amount of trion, she can keep shooting it for more than 8 hours[47] while wearing Bagworm, and still have energy to spare.[48] It also increases her range.[49] She replaced Egret with Hound after starting to use Lead Bullet. Chika first used Egret in Chapter 23 (Episode 12 in the anime). |
Akane Hiura | |
---|---|
As her primary main trigger, she is quite proficient in using it. With it, Hiura ranked 11th in stealth and target acquisition training.[17] She's first seen using it in Chapter 107 (Episode 66 in the anime). |
Izuho Natsume | |
---|---|
Natsume uses Egret only during sniper practice, as her training Trigger is Ibis. Nonetheless, her progress with it has been steady thanks to Tōma and Ema's guidance, allowing her to rank 41st during normal shooting practice[50] and 64th in stealth and target acqusition training,[46]. She's first seen using it in Chapter 34 (but only in Episode 66 in the anime). |

Daisuke Ashihara: Q: Hanzaki is a "master of precision sniping", but is he able to participate in the "evade the fish and hit the main body game"?
A: I think he can even as he finds it tiresome.
