    Introduction Arc[edit source]

Ikoma Squad presumably takes part in the extermination of all Rads in Mikado City.[1]

    Large-Scale Invasion Arc[edit source]

Ikoma Squad is seemingly not deployed during the Second Large-Scale Invasion, and could, therefore, be among the B-rank Squads with missing members which Masafumi Shinoda prevents from fighting against Aftokrator's forces out of fear of capture.[2]

    B-Rank Wars Arc[edit source]

    Round Two[edit source]

On February 5,[3] Ikoma Squad faces off against Ninomiya Squad in the second round of rank wars.[4] Since Azuma Squad, Katori Squad, Ōji Squad and Yuba Squad[5] compete in a four-way match in the day division,[6] it can be inferred that the three-way match takes place in the night division and that Kageura Squad is the third participant.

    Round Four[edit source]

Since Tamakoma Second fights Ninomiya Squad, Kageura Squad and Azuma Squad in the night division of rank wars on February 15,[7] and since Katori Squad and all other possible opponents were in the middle tier of B-rank or lower, Ikoma Squad must have fought in the day division against Ōji Squad and Yuba Squad. After the scores from both divisions are tallied, Ikoma Squad remains in third place[8] with 24 points.[9]

    Galopoula's Invasion[edit source]

Since Azuma Squad, Kageura Squad, and Yuba Squad fight in the night division of rank wars on February 19,[10] Ikoma Squad must have competed in the day division against Ninomiya Squad, Ōji Squad and Suzunari First. They rank third at the end of the match.[11] That same night, Ōji Squad and Ikoma Squad are deployed to intercept opponents west and south of the base in preparation of Galopoula's Invasion.[12][13]

    Round Five (Night)[edit source]

After the results of both the day and night divisions are tallied in round five, Ikoma Squad ranks third,[11] with 27 points.[14]

    Round Six[edit source]

Ikoma Squad is pitted against Ōji Squad and Tamakoma Second in round six. On the day of the match, the team members are gathered in the strategy room, discussing Tamakoma Second's prowess. When Ikoma mentions Yūma's fight against Kō Murakami in round three, Minamisawa barges in by claiming he has watched the footage 20,000 times.[15] Maori Hosoi attempts to get him to be cautious, but despite saying that he has understood he goes on to claim that he will be in charge of tying up Yūma, to her frustration.[16] He then joins his teammates in complimenting the flustered Operator.[17] The conversation moves to the menu of the cafeteria until the start of the match.[18][19]

Minamisawa spawns in the eastern area of Cityscape A and proceeds to head north-west to rendezvous with his teammates.[20] When Yutaka Kashio disappears off Radar, Minamisawa also dons a Bagworm and soon spots the wires laid out by Osamu Mikumo,[21][22] which he proceeds to cut down as he looks for the Shooter. When he notices Asteroid bullets hitting a billboard, he rushes there, running into Kashio. The two begin to fight[23] and Minamisawa gains the upper hand.[24] Ignoring Maori's warning to regroup, he is swept off his feet by Kurauchi's Salamander and finished off by Kashio.[25] He apologizes to Hosoi.[26]

The match ends with Ikoma Squad and Ōji Squad scoring three points against Tamakoma Second's four. Ikoma asks his teammates if the last kill awards triple points, making Minamisawa laugh.[27] After the results from both the day and night division are tallied, Ikoma Squad remains in third place with a point total of 30.[28]

    Round Seven[edit source]

Since Tamakoma Second faces off against Kageura Squad, Azuma Squad and Suzunari First in the day division of rank wars on March 1,[29] it can be inferred that Ikoma Squad competes against Ōji Squad and Ninomiya Squad in the night division. After the results of both the day and night divisions are tallied, Ikoma Squad ranks fourth.[30]

    Round Eight[edit source]

On March 5,[31] Ikoma Squad is pitted against Ninomiya Squad, Tamakoma Second and Yuba Squad in the night division of rank wars. Minutes before the match, Ikoma recounts spectating Jin's and Tachikawa's solo matches, prompting Minamisawa to claim that he wants to fight Jin too. Hosoi requests that they address more pressing matters, but Ikoma misunderstands and shares a pointless anecdote, which Minamisawa claims to have never heard before.[32]

Minamisawa spawns in the north-eastern area of Cityscape B.[33] Kōji Oki warns him that Takuma Yuba and Yukari Obishima have already met up and might be targeting him.[34] Noticing that the pair and Sumiharu Inukai are headed his way, Minamisawa assumes that they are hunting him down. Hosoi warns him not to dive into the fray alone, although he dismisses her words.[35] When he spots Hyuse being surrounded by his teammates and Yuba Squad, he realizes that the Tamakoma Second member was the target. He gets the drop on Obishima, but Yuba foils his attack, prompting him to retreat behind his teammates and then take to the roofs.[36] His next offensive is fended off by Hyuse, who proceeds to pin him and his other opponents in place with a combination of "Asteroud" and Escudo as he attempts to escape, but his pursuers soon catch up and resume their assault.[37] As Ikoma is defeated by a heavily wounded Hyuse, Minamisawa moves in to deal the finishing blow, but the bullets that missed his captain bends towards him. With Mizukami's help, Minamisawa survives and manages to cut down Hyuse before repelling Obishima.[38]

After Yuba takes out Mizukami, Minamisawa is hard-pressed to survive against both the Gunner and the All-Rounder, losing his sword arm soon. Obishima chases him as he attempts to retreat, and Oki warns him that Yūma is also coming his way. When the ace Attacker arrives on the scene,[39] Minamisawa tries to manipulate Obishima into joining forces against him, but she sees through his deception[40] and takes him out with an unexpected volley.[40] The match ends with Ikoma Squad and Yuba Squad tied in third place, having scored two points each.[41] The season of B-rank wars ends with Ikoma Squad ranking fourth, with a total of 34 points.[42]

    2. Daisuke Ashihara: Q: Why couldn't upper B-ranks like Ninomiya Squad or Kageura Squad participate in the Second Large-Scale Invasion? Did they travel far away on their time off?
A: It seems I lost the chance to draw it in the story itself so I'll write it here: "HQ Chief Shinoda gave the order that B-rank and lower agents are not allowed to participate in the fight until all members of the team are present". It seems he was worried about agents acting on their own and getting captured by Rabbits. Of course, there are also teams like Kako Squad who was late to the fight because their captain went out on a drive on her time off.
