Yūma Kuga and Yūichi Jin meet up and face Hyuse and Viza[2], the duo decide to split them up with Yūma taking on Viza and Jin taking on Hyuse.[3]
Battle[edit | edit source]
Yūma separated Viza by using Chain, and then throwing him into the air[4], Afterwards Yūma used Bound to catch up.[4] Due to being in the air, Viza decided to not hold back, and immediately use Organon[5], but Yūma already planted Anchor on him[5] which was set when Viza cut down the chains used before the fight.[6] As Viza was stuck in the middle of the air, Yūma decided to use a combination of Anchor, and Bolt Quadra[7], due to the weight, and Yūma kicking him, Viza started free falling into an abandoned building.[6] Yūma asks Viza why they are invading Meeden as there are nations a lot closer to Aftokrator if they wanted people with Trion[8], Viza states that they are sending their best forces to all neighboring nations.[8] this confuses Replica he thinks that it would leave Aftokrator completely empty[9], Viza comments on how it used to be easy to capture people from meeden, but now they have to send the appropriate amount of manpower.[9] Yūma asks one more question: why are they gathering so many people[9], Viza says there is no point in answering the question, as expected Yūma to not turn a blind eye to his mission[10], which was true.[10]
Viza has sliced up most of the planted anchors which makes him lighter.[11] Yūma thinks it is fine as he can still see organon's blades[11], however due to Anchor having a high trion cost, and Viza being able to counter them, Yūma can't use too many.[11] Yūma decided to use bound to launch a wall at Viza[12], which got cut up, however Yūma already planted multiple chain seals on the wall[12], the chains latched onto Viza[13], and Yūma used this time to attack using a bolt and boost seal, but missed[13], at the same time, Viza pulled out Organon's true form, to both removed the chains, and used the sword rings to attack Yūma.[13] The attack missed, but Viza followed up by quickly slashing at Yūma[14], the attack was able to cut off Yūma's arm, but he himself commented that if Reiji didn't slow down Viza, it would've done more damage.[14] Viza reveals that Replica is a "Tropoi Autonomous Trion Soldier", and comments that he would like to learn more about Yūma[15], but claims if he takes too long, the C-rank trainees will run away[15], Yūma picks up that it is a lie, and that Viza is actually a decoy, so he orders Replica to go protect Osamu and Chika.[15] Replica leaves a min version of himself with Yūma, with his main body flying towards Osamu[16], Viza asks if he really wanted to split up, but Yūma tells him he "makes up some stupid lies", and multiple rabbits get summoned at Osamu, and Chika's location.[16]
Yūma now has more injuries, and his attacks are no longer varied[17], this makes Viza comment that it was a mistake to have Replica leave.[17] Yūma asks Replica how Osamu, and Chika are doing, but Replica lies, and says they are doing fine, which Yūma calls out on[18], but Replica tells him to focus on the enemy.[18] Replica says that Viza is most likely the most powerful person of the group, but the annoying part is that he thinks stalling is enough[18] because it is hard to defeat someone who can sit back, and if either of them get greedy, Viza could take advantage of it.[18] Viza tried to bait Yūma by claiming his superior trapped his ally[19], but it fails, Yūma then thinks about how strong Viza is[19], and then remembers what his father told him[20]: if you fight someone stronger than you, don't try and win, but instead focus on defense to buy time, as it will help your allies[20], but if you have no allies, then run away.[20] additionally you need to know your strengths, and know what you can do, as if you misjudge either, you will get yourself killed.[20] Yūma apologizes to his dad as things are different now, as he thinks, even if the odds are against him, he can't run away.[21]
Yūma asks Viza if he has ever fought someone stronger than him[22], but he says one's strength in comparison is revealed only after the fight is over[22], which makes Yūma thinks that is something only a strong person would say.[22] Yūma goes to hide in the destroyed buildings[23], so Viza uses Organon to shred the buildings even more[24], while wishing he could've kept chatting until the invasion was over[24], however he doesn't intend to give up if Yūma wants to keep fighting.[25] Yūma is running inside the ruins of the buildings[25], while Replica explains that due to the mini being there instead of the main body, it takes longer to use compound, and multiplier seals[25] in addition the chain seal Yūma planted are gone[25] so his odds aren't good in a 1 on 1.[25] Yūma already decided he won't engage in a firefight[26], and then uses an Echo seal to get closer to Viza.[26] Viza then loses track of Yūma[26], but Yūma uses a Boost seal to attack from below[27], Viza was able to block it, and then successfully slashes at Yūma's hip.[27] Yūma accounted for it, and revealed he planted multiple Bolt seals, and attacks with them[28], however Viza was able to block it[29], and states Yūma was the 8th person to attack from a blind-spot from below, and thinks the follow up attack was good, so it wasn't a bad attack[29], which annoys Yūma.[29]
Viza uses Organon's rings to keep Yūma away[30], and Viza has been adjusting to Yūma's moves, so he has been struggling to get any closer.[30] Replica suggests to retreat as they have to catch Viza unaware[30], but Yūma thinks it won't work[30], as they won't get anywhere by outsmarting Viza[31], and it will only waste Yūma's time and trion.[31] Yūma thinks about how his father trained him for 6 years, and fought for another 3 years after his death[31], but even with both of these things combined, he can't beat Viza's depth of knowledge.[31] To win in this scenario, it isn't about skill or experience[31], so Yūma plans to launch himself towards Viza and force a direct confrontation.[32] Replica asks Yūma if he thinks he stands a fair chance[32], Yūma asks Replica if he thinks he doesn't stand a chance, but Replica says he can't make that decision, only Yūma can.[32] Yūma uses Bound to launch himself[32], thanks to precise maneuvering, Yūma was able to dodge the rings[33], however Viza thinks the attack is too straight forward.[33] One of the rings end up in front of Yūma, but due to Yūma using Chain on his foot[34], the attack doesn't land[34], he then uses Bound to pick up speed again.[34] not long after, Yūma's legs get slashed off[35], however Yūma was prepared for this[36], as one of the rings was outside their field of vision[36], regardless, they avoided dying, and Yūma's attack will land according to their plan.[36] However Viza sliced Yūma in half[37], as was saddened, but states that his sword can't be defeated by ferocity alone[38], but Replica states that, that was good[38], as Yūma let himself get cut on purpose[39], so that an Anchor will be stuck on Organon's blade.[39] Yūma then finishes the fight in his flesh and blood body, by using a boost seal and destroying Viza's trion body.[40]
