Tokieda, being an All-Rounder, has a very flexible fighting style[1], and is especially good at coordinating attacks with his teammates[1], in particular with his captain.[2] Additionally, he excels at defending: In the fight against the agents sent to retrieve Yūma's Black Trigger, he saved Arashiyama and Kitora from possible bailouts three times, demonstrating extraordinary situation awareness and control of the battlefield.[3] This was possible also thanks to his capacity to remain level-headed at any moment: even after being shot in the head, he pulled Kitora out of danger before bailing out. Due to his skills, he is considered one of Border's best supporters (along side Shinnosuke Tsuji, and Kōhei Izumi)[4][5], if not the best.[3]

As an All-Rounder[3], Tokieda has potentially scored at least 6,000 points with Asteroid.[6] Although his role is primarily that of a supporter, Tokieda is a capable Gunner. His weapon of choice is an assault rifle loaded with Asteroid bullets. He is always seen using it while coordinating with Arashiyama, either in a pincer attack or a frontal assault. With their combined bullet power and high rate of fire, they destroyed the durable armor of an injured Rabbit in a matter of seconds. | |

As an All-Rounder[3], Tokieda has scored at least 6,000 points with Scorpion[6], which is his weapon of choice at close quarters, which he wields with a reverse grip.[7] Additionally even in that range, he can coordinate with Arashiyama[2], this coordination was shown when he and Arashiyama took down a Marmod with a single slash.[7] he frequently employs it in feints with Shield and his Gunner Trigger, using the latter to trick the opponent into thinking he has a Trigger active both in the main and the sub, before striking with Scorpion.[8] | |

Defense |
Border's default Defense Trigger, which erects a mobile barrier in a location chosen by the user. Tokieda can use it on an ally to protect their blind spots. Having defended both himself and Kitora from Kōhei Izumi's powerful Full Attack Asteroid, Tokieda has also shown to be able to morph the Shield so as to protect multiple targets whithout sacrificing too much of its durability. | |

Daisuke Ashihara: Q: How is an All-Rounder defined?
A: An All-Rounder is ‘an agent who has earned more than 6,000 solo points in both Attacker and Gunner Triggers respectively’. Right now Border’s overall level is on the rise and there are those who say it should be raised to above 8,000.

Daisuke Ashihara: Q: Kogetsu can be turned OFF without being put back in its sheath, but is it possible, for instance, to use a feint like holding a gun in one hand with it OFF while attacking with a Scorpion from the elbow?
A: It is possible. "Pretending with Shield + Gun but actually Scorpion" is one of the feints that All-Rounders equipped with Scorpion (like Arashiyama Squad) use a lot.
