    World Trigger Wiki

Despite its average ranking, Kakizaki Squad is, to the best of Mitsuru Tokieda's recollection, the only B-rank squad involved in the conflict against Aftokrator's invasion that survived it without any of its members bailing out. Though this is primarily regarded as a testament to the captain's prudence,[1] it also speaks of a certain degree of competence and effective teamwork. When fighting alongside his teammates, Tomoe seems to be tasked with scouting,[2] flanking and disrupting the enemy.[3][4]

Tomoe is a precocious talent, having been accepted into Border while still an elementary school student.[5] As a Gunner with over 7,000 points,[6] he should be individually more powerful than than trainees and some B-rank agents. Despite his position, Tomoe's fighting style often resembles that of close-ranged All-Rounders, wielding his handgun with one hand and Kogetsu with the other.[7][4] Kakizaki believes his skills to be higher than what Border's evaluation suggests.[8] Tomoe seems to have a good presence of mind, heeding his Operator's warning and defending against Sniper fire right after being suddenly launched into the air.[9]

    Triggers[edit source]

    Current
    Type Normal Hound

    Classification Gunner

Tomoe fires Hound through his handgun, often drawing it while wielding Kogetsu with the other hand. He primarily uses it to disrupt the enemy's formation, pin them in place or split their focus.[7][4] When fighting alongside his teammates and not flanking the opponent, Tomoe and Teruya fire Hound bullets that come at the opponent from two different directions, forcing them to deploy two Shields, while Kakizaki exploits the resulting opening with Asteroid.[10] Tomoe is first seen using Hound in Chapter 139 (Episode 78 in the anime).
    Type Normal Kogetsu

    Classification Attacker

Despite having scored fewer than 6,000 points with it, Tomoe appears skilled enough with Kogetsu to wield it with a single hand despite its weight,[4] although it is unclear if this affects his proficiency. To unbalance Yūta Miura, he held the sword with both hands and struck while dropping from a few meters up in the air[11] before removing one hand from the hilt to draw his gun.[7] However, his swordsmanship pales compared to Hyuse's, against wom Tomoe lost five times without being able to score a single victory.[12] Unlike his teammates,[13] Tomoe keeps Kogetsu conjured at his hip at all times.[14] He is first seen using it in Chapter 139 (Episode 78 in the anime).
    Type Normal Bagworm

    Classification Optional

A Trigger that prevents the user's Trion signature from being detected by Radar, therefore concealing their position. Tomoe is first seen using Bagworm in Chapter 140 (Episode 79 in the anime).
    Type Normal Shield

    Classification Defense

Tomoe appears to favor combining his Kogetsu and handgun, so he does not summon a Shield preemptively, unlike other Gunners.[7][4] To defend against Chika's sniping, he erected a focused, hexagonal Shield from the back of his wrist.[15] He has also displayed the ability to cast his Full Guard from afar, creating large, round Shields and overlapping them with thos eof other agents.[16] Tomoe is first seen using Shield in Chapter 60 (Episode 27 in the anime).
