Background
Chano joined Border about one year before Yūma Kuga did.[1] Eizō Netsuki was implied to have had a hand in promoting them and Fujisawa to B-rank to create a new PR Squad, although they do not know how of this.[2]
Introduction Arc
Chano Squad presumably takes part in the extermination of all Rads in Mikado City.[3]
Large-Scale Invasion Arc
Chano and Fujisawa mistake Yūma for an enemy Neighbor due to his Black Trigger and attack him. They are ambushed by the Rabbit he and Osamu Mikumo were fighting and saved by Arashiyama Squad, whose captain informs them that Yūma is on their side.[4] They watch in horror as HQ is bombarded by Ilgar.[4] Masafumi Shinoda sends them to join up with other B-rank Squads[5] and the two end up fighting Ranbanein, although they are instantly defeated.[6] At the end of the invasion the members of Chano Squad received an Excellent Distinguished Service award.[7]
B-Rank Wars Arc
Chano and Fujisawa decide to spectate Tamakoma Second vs. Suwa Squad vs. Arafune Squad upon finding out that Haruaki Azuma is doing the commentary.[8]
