As the captain of A-rank No. 2 Squad, Fuyushima must be a very skilled individual; even more so considering the squad is comprised only of him and Isami Tōma. As a Trapper, he is capable of providing support to multiple allies while remaining out of sight. He is considered an excellent strategist.[1] It is safe to assume that, as a former engineer, he is more knowledgeable about trion and Triggers than most Border agents. It seems that he is affected by sea sickness, which after an away mission is so severe it prevents him from being involved in other missions for a time.

Fuyushima (along with the rest of his squad) is known as a skilled intellectual fighter[2], his primary tactic is setting traps in multiple places, which can either attack the opponent or coordinate with his Teammate - Tōma[2] (which boosts his mobility[2]). Fuyushima has been shown to collaborate with Kinuta when need to be, to combine Switchbox with HQ's Trion to create more powerful traps.[3] It is necessary to place marks where the user wants to activate a trap[4], additionally the marks need a surface to be placed on, so there are no mid-air traps.[5] A location may have multiple traps[4][6], which can be activated at will[6] and changed to another type.[7]
Spring Blade: When a target steps on the mark, a blade springs up from the ground, piercing them.[3] So far it has been used only in conjunction with the Trion supplied by Border HQ.[3] Short Warp[7] (ショート ワープ, Shōto Wāpu ?): A trap meant to support allies. When they press the mark, they will be teleported to another one of their choosing.[8] It has a range of at least a few dozen meters.[9] |
