Kodera is counted as a skilled sniper[1], and was good enough to become an A-rank agent, however it was mentioned that he is still growing[1], and still breaks out in sweats.[1][2][3] When fighting alongside his squad, he shows very little initiative, and has been shown relying on Narasaka's instructions.[4] However, during Galopoula's Invasion he showed the ability to briefly take the lead.[5] Additionally, he and Narasaka are counted as a top class force when it comes to long range attacks.[6] Kodera excels at parsing the progress of battle and the types of terrain it is taking place on.[1] For this reason, he is considered an analyst-type Sniper.[1]

Egret is Kodera's primary Trigger[7][8][9], and is proficient enough to rank 9th in the Stealth and Target Acquisition Drill[10], however multiple middle-group B-rank agents got similar placements.[10] During his Fight against Yūma he was shown missing against a midair Yūma[11], however Narasaka seemingly trusted him enough to try and contain Yūma while he got in closer.[3] Kodera is first seen using Egret in Chapter 14 (Episode 7 in the anime). |
