    B-Rank Wars Arc[edit | edit source]

The expedition force is first seen in their ship discussing the general details about their mission: to cripple Border's offensive abilities. Gatlin decides to do this by destroying Border's away ship, therefore hindering Border's Away Team. At the same time, Hyuse escapes from Tamakoma Branch due to Yōtarō sleeping on the job.

A horde of Trion Soldiers provided by Rhodokhroun is summoned so Gatlin, Wen Sō, and Ratarykov can blend in. When they got close enough, Rata uses his Tunneling Trigger to steadily head for the hangar, while Reghindetz, Koskero, and Yomi serve as distractions outside. The three members inside are attacked by Jin and Nasu Squad, but they continue unharmed — though Wen Sō stays to fight Nasu Squad. Using Servitora and impersonation tactics, she gains the upper hand, but Nasu Squad, with the help of Kikuchihara, defeats her.

Meanwhile, Miwa Squad finds Koskero. Koskero uses Nikokyra to dull his foes' blades and restrict their movement, but in the end, he finds himself slashed by Jin's Fūjin and retreats. At this time Yōtarō Rindō wakes up, venturing off with Raijinmaru to find Hyuse; Jin notices this and runs to assist him. Ratarykov and Gatlin reach the Away Ship's dock, only to find themselves confronted by Tachikawa, Kazama, Konami, and Murakami. Despite putting up a considerable effort, they fall victim to Tachikawa's suicide tactic where he has Konami bisect both him and Gatlin, while Kazama takes care of Ratarykov. With all members but Reghindetz having retreated, the mission is considered a failure.

Nonetheless, Reghindetz attempts to lure Border's attention by pretending to attack Mikado City, but Jin's forecast assures them of the trick at hand. Frustrated, he is soon confronted by Hyuse and Yōtarō who've met up, the former of which demands that he be taken home. Reghindetz orders Hyuse to take Yōtarō hostage to prove his allegiance to Aftokrator, but Hyuse takes things one step further and appears to stab him. Reghindetz is horrified at the excessive measure Hyuse took, informing him that Aftokrator had abandoned him; in fact, he had no intention of letting Hyuse join — even planning to kill him if necessary. However, the stunt turns out to be a ruse: Hyuse used Scorpion to maneuver the blade around Yōtarō's body. Being tricked angers Reghindetz, who activates his trigger, Thugator, but is easily defeated by Hyuse's Lampyris. Reghindetz bails out, which means every Galopoula combatant was defeated.

Back in the ship, an analysis of Meeden's unexpected resistence plays out. Gatlin notes that while the mission was a failure, they have plenty of time to try again, as they leave orbit in a month.

    Trivia[edit | edit source]

    • The buttons on their uniform seem to represent a hierarchy. For example, Gatlin has one button,[2] and he is the captain[3], and Yomi, the operator, has 6 buttons,[2] indicating that he has the lowest-ranked role. If this is the case, then the order would be:
    1. Gatlin[2] (Captain[4][3])
    2. Koskero[5] (Vice-Captain[6][7])
    3. Wen Sō[5]
    4. Reghindetz[8]
    5. Ratarykov[5]
    6. Yomi[2]
    • Their names appear to be anagrams of character names from Kiteretsu Daihakkya.
    • The games the team members play are games designed by Yomi[9], or they use Koskero's personal playing cards.[9]
