Suwa Squad[edit | edit source]
The members of Suwa Squad have a good relationship and hang out together outside of Border duty.[1] Despite his penchant for gambling in battle, Tsutsumi trusts Kōtarō Suwa,[2] whom he calls by surname,[3] presumably out of respect, even though they speak casually to each other otherwise. Tsutsumi similarly addresses Rui Osano by her surname,[4] whereas she uses a nickname for him,[5] and calls Hisato Sasamori by his first name.[6]
Nozomi Kako[edit | edit source]
Tsutsumi and Kako are on good terms. He addresses her by surname followed by the diminutive suffix -chan.[7] He often volunteers to try out, her experimental fried rice dishes out of curiosity,[8] although he has gotten sick on two occasions.[9]
Reiji Kizaki[edit | edit source]
Tsutsumi appears to hold the Perfect All-Rounder in high esteem in terms of sniping and mentoring skills. Like the rest of his Squad[10][11] he refers to Kizaki by his first name,[12] which suggests familiarity.
Tamakoma Second[edit | edit source]
Tsutsumi is very impressed with the three original fighters of Tamakoma Second.[13] Although he admires Yūma's skill[14] and speed,[15] Osamu's tie against Sōya Kazama[16] left an even more lasting impression on Tsutsumi, who has taken to observing Osamu with interest.[2] He refers to the latter by the nickname "Four-Eyes".[17]

Daisuke Ashihara: Q: Do Border agents visit and play with their friends on their Squad outside of missions?
A: There are Squads that do, and Squads that don't. Kako Squad, Suzunari First, and Suwa Squad look like they would all go out together.

Daisuke Ashihara: Q: Does Kako have no sense of taste? Or does she have a normal sense of taste but end up creating weapons of slaughter?
A: Her sense of taste is normal. It is curiosity that kills the Tsutsumi.
