Yuba is the leader of a top B-rank Squad.[1] As such, he has some skill in strategy and situation analysis.[2] However, once a rank war started, command of the team usually fell to Tadaomi Kanda, while Yuba went off on his own to pick off the enemies one by one.[3] Currently, Yuba appears to have taken to working more closely with his teammates,[4][5] and has demonstrated to be able to coordinate well with Yukari Obishima, alternating rather than combining his attacks with hers.[6][7] He himself has some skill at support, keeping an eye on Obishima during a fast-paced battle and saving her from an ambush.[8]
Kazuma Satomi hailed Yuba as one of the strongest agents in Border in one-on-one fights, claiming that unlike Masataka Ninomiya, Sōya Kazama and Kō Murakami, who rarely fight in solo matches but are high-ranked due to seldomly losing, Yuba has cemented his rank by scoring tens of thousands of wins against Border's most powerful fighters,[9] including Kei Tachikawa.[10] Satomi also noted that although in normal conditions Ninomiya is likely to win, if the map allowed Yuba to come close enough to the Shooter he would take the advantage.[11] Yūma in fact remarked that Yuba's draw is faster than the eye can register,[12] so much so that he was able to defeat the extremely quick Attacker[13] before he could put up a Shield. Because the parameters of his firearms cause Yuba to engage his target from a relatively short distance, Osamu observed that he fights as an Attacker with guns rather than as an ordinary Gunner.[14]

Asteroid is Yuba's main offensive Trigger, which he fires through his handguns.[15] He combines their high muzzle velocity and raw power[12] with his extremely quick draw to shoot down the opponent before they can react.[13] Should they be able to, Yuba will resort to Full Attack to swiftly destroy their Shield.[15] A single one of his bullets packs enough power to break through an unfocused Shield[8] and critically damage a small Escudo,[16] along with Hyuse's own unfocused Shield[17][7] despite his extraordinary trion levels. Yuba is first seen using Asteroid in Chapter 181 (Episode 94 in the Anime). |

While he has not been shown using this Trigger, it was said he uses Bagworm and Viper together against opponents with high levels of Trion and a good guard to throw them off-balance.[15] |

Classification |
Yuba appears to rarely deploy his Shield, rather preferring to blast away at his opponent with both handguns at once — overcoming them with his speed on the draw, muzzle velocity, and sheer firepower. When he does use it, he casts it in its default hexagonal shape and maintains activation only long enough to escape imminent danger.[18] Yuba is first seen using Shield in Chapter 186 (Episode 96 in the Anime). |

Classification |
Yuba was said to mainly use this trigger with Viper to throw off his opponents, however he has been shown to use this trigger to launch a sneak attack with Asteroid. Yuba is first seen using Bagworm in Chapter 189 (Episode 97 in the Anime). |
