Ninomiya Squad[edit | edit source]
Masataka Ninomiya[edit | edit source]
She has a strained relationship with her former leader, mostly due to her breach of Border regulations. She broke Border's rules by giving triggers to civilians, which demoted her unit to B-rank.
Shinnosuke Tsuji[edit | edit source]
Hatohara is one of the only two women with whom Tsuji is able to converse comfortably. Her kind personality put him at ease as soon as they met.[1] They used to hang out together with their teammates outside of Border,[2] including for a squad member's birthday.[3] Tsuji does not appear to resent her for her defection, stating that venturing into the Neighborhood illegally was the only option she was left with.[3] He refers to her by her surname followed by the honorific senpai.[1]
Aki Hiyami[edit | edit source]
Hatohara's advice was instrumental in allowing Hiyami to overcome her discomfort in social situations.[4] Prior to her defection, the two used to hang out together and with their other teammates, including for their birthdays. Unlike Ninomiya, Hiyami does not appear to resent Hatohara for her defection and speaks about her with ease. She refers to the Sniper by her surname, with the addition of the honorific -senpai.[3]
Others[edit | edit source]
Yuzuru Ema[edit | edit source]
She has a close teacher-student relationship with Ema as she is quite open when she is with him, often apologizing for her incompetence.
