Hey Wikians. My username is FanOfAniManga, or FOAM for short. As you can tell by my username, I'm a fan of anime and manga series.
I mainly like to work on anime and manga-related Wikis on smaller series that I personally like and think have the potential to become extremely popular. As a slow-paced manga, my confidence in World Trigger was quite low to begin with, but over time, I've understood why it's been given such a special treatment from the editors.
My Thoughts on World Trigger

When I first started reading World Trigger, I really wasn't expecting much, having seen how Sensei no Bulge went. The real reason why I started reading World Trigger was to try to see how long it'd last, especially in comparison to Bulge. I read Super Dog Rilienthal and found it pretty decent and wacky, but I felt the same way with Omagadoki too, and both of them didn't last very long.
However, right from chapter 1, you could tell that the editors definitely had a lot of faith in this manga. For instance, Chika Amatori, one of the four main characters as featured on the chapter cover page, doesn't appear until chapter 11. By that point, many failed serializations would begin to rush to their inevitable cancellations. However, this series was allowed to continue not only to introduce her, but very, VERY slowly and steadily, as with practically everything else in this manga, something many series don't even get a chance to do.
When it comes to an author planning a second serialization, at least relative to Sensei no Bulge, this series is the polar opposite to that rushed piece of mess. Once you consider how much planning Daisuke Ashihara did prior to serialization, it's safe to say he deserved having that much faith from the editors. The idea of the Trigger and Yūma Kuga came even before his first serialization, Super Dog Rilienthal, in his oneshot Trigger Keeper back in 2009. Then came another oneshot, Jitsuryokuha Elite Jin, or Talented Elite Jin, starring the talented elite Jin Yūichi back in 2011.
It's a sure thing that the series has an exceptionally slow pace compared to other series in Weekly Shonen Jump, but I think the editors have already agreed that sacrificing the pacing to allow the series to play itself out was worth it. Already, we've seen the technical aspects of the Trigger and the structure of Border planned out in such a detailed manner. The characters are also well thought-out too, especially with Jin Yūichi's cool demeanour and Yūma Kuga's trademark =3= face.
So despite the series being at a disadvantage for being very slow-paced, it'll definitely survive for quite some time, and I wish Ashihara the best of luck to make World Trigger a smash hit.
Having been enthusiastic about this series and unable to find an existing Wiki for the series prior, I started this dedicated Wiki. I am very excited to contribute to this Wiki, giving you the latest information in a concise and organized manner. I'm confident the series will stay alive for awhile and I can't wait to see it develop further. I also look to develop Wikis of new, potentially groundbreaking series to the same standard as those of well-established Wikis of manga/anime series.
