    World Trigger Wiki
    (Redirected from Osamu Mikumo's Mother)
For Kasumi's Son, See Osamu Mikumo.

When you brought the paperwork to enlist six months ago... do you remember that I was totally against it? When I heard you got seriously injured... my first thought was, 'I told you so.' But it's strange... All those people came to visit you, but... even after seeing you motionless on the bed... none of them suggested that you should quit Border. I wondered why, but... I understand a bit better now. Ever since you joined Border... you look like you've found what you want to do. You should do what you believe you must... It's your life, after all.

Kasumi Mikumo to Osamu in Chapter 85.[1],

Kasumi Mikumo (三雲(みくも) 香澄(かすみ), Mikumo Kasumi ?) is the mother of Osamu Mikumo.

    Appearance[edit | edit source]

Kasumi is quite pretty and looks young for her age, with people believing that she is Osamu's older sister,[3] like Karasawa.[4] She has thick shoulder-length black hair and a fringe reminiscent of Osamu's.

    Personality[edit | edit source]

Kasumi is quite concerned about her son and his life. When he was being barraged by the media, she expressed a desire to beat them with a stick.[5] Additionally, when Osamu woke up in the ICU, the first thing she asked him was whether he and Chika weren't getting along well.[6] However, she is understanding; as seen when she allowed Osamu to stay in Border despite the fact that he nearly died, stating that it was his life.[7] Most of the time, she has a emotionless mysterious face.[8]

    History[edit | edit source]

Through many passionate attacks in University, she managed to marry her current husband on graduation. The Mikumo family is a standard nuclear family; her son participating in rank wars at Border, her husband builds bridges overseas, and she does the laundry at the riverside. Doing so led to the discovery of a convenient stick being washed down the river.[9]

    Quotes[edit | edit source]

    • (About Osamu and Chika's relationship) "... Osamu... You know... you were badly hurt... but Chika didn't cry for you. The two of you aren't intimate enough. You need to get closer." [10]
    • (About the reporters interrogating Osamu) "Those reporters... need to be beaten with a stick." [5]
    • (Telling Osamu to stay in Border) "When you brought the paperwork to enlist six months ago... do you remember that I was totally against it? When I heard you got seriously injured... my first thought was, 'I told you so.' But it's strange... All those people came to visit you, but... even after seeing you motionless on the bed... none of them suggested that you should quit Border. I wondered why, but... I understand a bit better now. Ever since you joined Border... you look like you've found what you want to do. You should do what you believe you must... It's your life, after all." [1]
