    (Redirected from Kirie)

    Let's shred these new models to pieces. TRIGGER ON!!

    Kirie Konami to Reiji and Kyōsuke.[1],

    Kirie Konami (()(なみ) (きり)(), Konami Kirie ?) is the No. 3 Attacker[5] (as well as former No. 1[6]) and a member of Tamakoma First, as well as Yūma's mentor.

    Appearance[edit | edit source]

    Konami has waist-long strawberry blonde (often referred to as orange-peach) hair with a long feather-like ahoge in the back of her head, and blue eyes. She is normally seen wearing her school uniform; sailor outfit with a black collar and a black pleated skirt under a red ribbed sweater.

    In her Trion Body, her hair becomes shorter, including her ahoge, which also divides in two. Her uniform consists of a top with long sleeves that extend to her hands, functioning as gloves, shorts, and tall boots coming up to her knees. The top part of her jacket, except for the sleeves and shoulders, is completely black, forming a triangle-like shape on her chest.

    Personality[edit | edit source]

    Konami is a naïve and childish girl, so she is easily tricked. Many like to make fun of her since she is so gullible, especially Kyōsuke and Jin, and subsequently Yūma too. She is short-tempered and tends to make a big ruckus over little things, like when Shiori gave her Dorayakis away for Osamu, Yūma and Chika to eat, which causes her to punish Shiori by stretching her cheeks.[10] She loves candies and hates sharing them.

    She also dislikes weaklings, hence why she chose to mentor Yūma, recognizing him to be the strongest among the newcomers.[11] She is sometimes referring to other agents as "so-so" no matter what their strength is.[12] She is also very shy, getting easily flattered when complimented, although she tries to hide it with strength. On the other hand, becomes infuriated when she discovers someone lied to her.[13] Due to these multiple traits, Konami can be considered a tsundere.

    However, she is loyal to her comrades, and will hold a grudge towards anyone who hurts them, such as becoming enraged (along with Yōtarō) when Border and the reporters tried to blame Osamu for Aftokrator's invasion,[14] and harshly reminding Hyuse that his friends kidnapped Border's agents and almost killed Osamu.[15] She also refused to accept Hyuse into Border.[16]Although she is been visibly worried about him when he is been cornered by 8 agents during the match. She is also visibly seen happy when Tamakom Second win they last of match in B-Rank season and been proud of Yuma when he defeats Obishima during the match.

    Quotes[edit | edit source]

    • (To Yūma, about training him) "From what I can see, you're the strongest among the three of you, right? I hate weaklings." [11]
    • (To Yūma) "Let me tell you frankly, I mainly rely on my intuition, so I'm bad at training strangers." [17]
    • (To Hyuse) ""The weak will lose, and that's all there is to it," how can you say something so obvious and expect it to sound cool?" [15]

    Trivia[edit | edit source]

    • "Kirie" (桐絵 ?) means "Kiri picture". "Konami" (小南 ?) means "little south".
    • Her birthday is ten days apart from that of her disciple Yūma. Konami's birthday is July 28, while Yūma's birthday is July 18.
    • She is in the same class as Nasu.
    • According to the Volume 3 Extras, Konami likes snacks, fruits, and red things.[18]
      • Also, according to the Volume 3 Character Profiles she believes in ghosts, ESP, and aliens; and thinks that Raijinmaru is a dog thanks to Karasuma.
    • Tachikawa’s misreading of Karasuma’s name as Torimaru lead Konami into believing his name was Torimaru, leading to his current nickname.[19]
    • Some of things she has been into which she has been fooled to do include:[20]
      • Twirling a battery for 30 minutes because she was told that it would recharge;
      • Spending a day to try and capture a kappa on camera after being told one came out of a river;
      • And going to the hospital while crying because she was told that swallowing gum would make her stomach explode.
    • Konami has become a breakout character in the series being voted in 3rd place in the 2014 popularity poll and in 2nd in 2016.

    6. 6.0 6.1 6.2 Daisuke Ashihara: Q: Konami is the No. 3 Attacker, does this mean she shows up in the Solo Rank Wars? And in that case what Triggers does she use?
      A: Studying came first for Konami up until the end of her middle school years so she didn’t do any Solo Rank Wars then, and only participated in the period from her middle school graduation and part way through her first year of high school. Back then, in that period, Jin started using Fūjin and Tachikawa had kind of lost his motivation, so Konami sharpened her blades against those like Kazama to reach all the way to No. 1 Attacker. After that, along with Tamakoma’s separation, she took a step back from Rank Wars, but her solo points have only been surpassed by Tachikawa and Kazama so she’s still No. 3 Attacker. Her Triggers at the time were dual-wielded Kogetsu (fairly short).

    20. Daisuke Ashihara: Q: Please tell us more instances of Konami being tricked.
      A: Being told if you turn a dry battery round and round it will recharge and doing so for 30 minutes, being told a Kapppa appeared in the river and lying in wait with a camera for a whole day, being told if you swallow gum your stomach will explode and going to the hospital crying, etc.
