List of various characters who haven't been shown, but have been mentioned in the World Trigger series.
Miwa's Sister[edit | edit source]
Miwa has an unnamed sister that was killed by Neighbors[1] during the First Large-Scale Invasion.[2] Miwa has been shown to care for his sister, as shown in his flashback[3], and how her death was enough to make him hate all Neighbors.[1] Even after a bout of confusion, he still hates Neighbors, but primarily wants to beat up the culprit.[2]
Jin's Mother[edit | edit source]
Jin's unnamed mother was listed as Jin's only family[4]; it was stated that Neighbors killed her.[5]
Osamu's Father[edit | edit source]
Osamu's unnamed father has been stated to be alive[6], and that he goes overseas to build bridges.[7] Osamu's father wears under-rim glasses frames.[6] When Osamu first learned to speak, he picked up the phrase "that's true, but..." from his father.[8]
When Osamu's father was in college, Osamu's mother (Kasumi Mikumo) made passionate attacks on him[7][9] via visiting everyday, and eating lunch together.[9]
Yūma's Mother[edit | edit source]
Yūma's unnamed mother has already passed away.[10] Some traits Yūma inherited from her are bold decision-making, expressing will through actions, and lack of whining.[10] Due to Yūma's father (Yūgo Kuga) being from earth[11], it can be assumed she is a Neighbor.
Reiji's Father[edit | edit source]
Reiji's unnamed father was a rescue worker, and an elite fireman.[12] He died 9 years ago, with his body being found with wounds to his chest.[13] Due to the situation, there is no way to know the cause, but it is assumed that it was an Neighbor attack.[14] He was the one who taught Reiji that the best asset to saving someone is one's own body[12]—as in, if someone trains their body, it will be able to do what they need it to do, and their wits and technique will build on top of that.[12] Reiji's father never took a day off from training[13], and Reiji himself would join him on his walks.[13] Reiji's father also instilled into Reiji that "If you can't come back alive, you've failed as a rescue worker"[15], something Reiji agrees with[15]; he thinks that, in the end, his father wasn't a great rescue worker[15], because if his father was alive, he would've been able to save a lot of people during the First Large-Scale Invasion.[15] For these two reasons, Reiji works out so he will always come out alive regardless of what happens[16], and is training Chika for the same reasons.[16]
Akane's Brother[edit | edit source]
Akane has an older brother named Shōma (祥真 ?).[17] He has a crush on Kumagai[18], but never confessed in the end.[17]
Hatohara's Brother[edit | edit source]
Hatohara's unnamed little brother was stated to be the reason why Hatohara went to the Neighborhood[19], as he was kidnapped an unknown amount of time ago.[19]
Kunichika's Mother[edit | edit source]
Kunichika's unnamed mother is from Hokkaido[20], and sends different type of foods to Kunichika to eat with a group.[20] Dishes include: salmon hotpot, sea urchins, crabs and salmon roe.[20]
Mako's Grandfather[edit | edit source]
Mako's unnamed grandfather died while protecting her during the First Large-Scale Invasion.[21] After, Mako thought about what to do with the rest of her life, and decided to join Border.[21]
Brian[edit | edit source]
In Chapter 237, a name on the board behind the executives reads: "Brian" (ブライアン, Burain ?).[22] Their name is listed below Michael Cronin's in the judge section, so it is possible they are also an Engineer. Nothing else is known about Brian.
Mochizuki[edit | edit source]
In Chapter 231, a name on the board behind the executives reads: Mochizuki (望月 ?).[23] Their name is listed above Ryōji Kiriyama in the judge section so it is possible they are also an Engineer. Nothing else is known.
Named Family Members[edit | edit source]
These are family members of different characters who have not appeared, but have been named.
- Arafune's father - Tetsuya[24] (哲弥 ?)

Daisuke Ashihara: Q: What were Osamu's first words? (as words with meaning, not just babbling)
A: Osamu was the type of child who started speaking late, but his first words were most likely nouns such as "father", "mother", "glasses". He may have also caused trouble for his mother by learning phrases such as "That's true, but......" by imitating his father.

A: She intruded on him every day and they ate obentou together. To shoot the commander, go through the stomach.

A: Yūgo told Yūma "if I die, go to Border" instead of saying "rely on your mother" or "go meet your mother", so I think she has already passed away. The traits Yūma inherited from his mother are bold decision-making, expression of will through action, and lack of whining.

A: Her mother is. Her parents would send salmon hotpot sets, sea urchins, crabs, salmon roe and so on to them. Everyone eats them together.
